Riot, the Dictatorship (Why They're shutting down the boards)

Riot is an absolute disgrace. They have become an asinine corrupt dictatorship that only cares about money and power. They give zero fucks about people or their customers. Essentially, they act like robots.

The sole and real reason why they're shutting down the boards is because people were using it to express their concerns with the game, and in a bigger picture, RIOT. People were just showing their vulnerability and flaws with the game. Riot wants to make the game the way they want, and don't care about outside opinion.

If it costs them an extra penny to fix an issue, they'll make an excuse and throw it to the shitter.

Their excuse for this is that the boards are "negatively impacting new players or potential customers".

Here's a hint Riot: If it's affecting them because there's so many problems with your game and it comes off as a bad game,...............................

FIX YOUR FUCKING GAME.

NORTH AMERICA IS NOT A DICTATORSHIP.

Or the real reason, everyone who is not a reactionary moron uses reddit instead. Where you can actually talk to riot as well as other players.

A virtual online video game that nobody forces you to play and has zero impact in your life the moment you uninstall is a dictatorship? Dont disrespect hundreds of millions of actual human beings with your 1st world problems rant. Once the Boards are removed, spend some time on History Channel please.

Well i mean they ARE owned by tencent, and they have been enjoying the taste of boot for the past 3-4 years give or take, it doesnt really surprise me that they cant take criticism like Most amazing leader Whinnie the Pooh. What does surprise me, however, is the stupidity and ignorance on display, since they could fix ALL OF THIS if they actually took criticism and fixed their shit, and actually made a game worth playing, instead of just focusing on what champ can sell the most skins and what champs do we push to make more flashy and more meta for next worlds. Perfect example is CD Project Red, they actually care enough to make a good game, and MAGICALLY, people are ACTUALLY FUCKING BUYING AND PLAYING THEIR GAMES FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME. Imagine if all video game companies actually grew a fucking brain and a spine and started making video games instead of selling out.

They will fix Matchmaking next:

https://na.leagueoflegends.com/en-us/news/dev/dev-ranked-and-matchmaking-in-2020/

And they will fix the client next:

https://na.leagueoflegends.com/en-us/news/dev/introducing-the-client-cleanup-campaign/?utm_source=LeagueClient&utm_medium=OverviewTier2Pos1

And they are very transparent about that.

So they do exactly the opposite of what you say.

Congratulations, you have just described a corporation.

The sole and real reason why they're shutting down the boards is because people were using it to express their concerns with the game, and in a bigger picture, RIOT. People were just showing their vulnerability and flaws with the game. Riot wants to make the game the way they want, and don't care about outside opinion.

No, it's because this place has always been trash, mostly because of incoherent nonsense like this thread.

If it costs them an extra penny to fix an issue, they'll make an excuse and throw it to the shitter.

Again, corporation. If doing something would result in a loss of profit, it's the wrong thing for them to do.

Their excuse for this is that the boards are "negatively impacting new players or potential customers".

Ya, they've got loonies hanging around this place who do nothing but rant and froth.

NORTH AMERICA IS NOT A DICTATORSHIP.

And Riot Games isn't North America. It's Riot Games. And North America doesn't have a single controlling government. Do you really have that much trouble distinguishing a country from a continent from a company?
