Yorick Update - Maiden too inconsistent
After putting in close to 50 games on the new Yorick on my account, I like almost everything he offers. He is overall a really fun champ to play. The most frustrating thing however, is that the maiden has a mind of her own and it is so frustrating trying to get her to work the way you want her to. This occurence is especially highlighted when jungling Yorick. When summoned away from minions, she will follow you until she dies, which is extremely helpful taking camps, objectives, and ganking. Immediately following a successful or unsuccessful gank, if she encountered a minion wave, she will stay in that wave and push to her death (which she really barely scratches towers.) When she finally dies, your ult goes on an enormous cooldown, which may be further delayed by having to wait for the maiden to make it to a turret and die. Beyond this, her pushing may not be what you want her to do (for example if your adc is behind and at their inner tower, and you successfully gank for them, only to have the maiden push their wave all the way back to their tower and taking cs).
In the end, this mechanic of upon encountering a minion, sticking to the lane feels so inconsistent and makes his gameplay so frustrating at times. Every game I find myself screaming "NO PLEASE DONT ATTACK THE MINIONS" after a gank using the maiden, knowing it may be another 3 minutes before i get to use her again.
My suggestion to this dilemma is to make his ult a toggle after it has been cast. The maiden will start out following Yorick, but if his ult is clicked again, she will start heading down the nearest lane, which can be toggled back and forth.
I really hope this suggestion is read, because I really want to keep playing yorick but it can be so frustrating at times.
