With Leona's new skins, can we get her in other roles now?

Many champs over the last few years have been finding new life in new areas, some ADCs went top, many mages went explodey support, some folks that couldn't jungle before went there (Twitch, Graves, etc.). Some supports found builds to go top (tanky/ap Karma is nasty up there).

Leona is one of those champs whose role hasn't changed since her inception. Her kit is incredibly simple, in fact too simple by today's standards, the other 2 champs released around the same time period as her (Yorick and Skarner) have both gotten reworks, with Yorick getting a full VGU and Skarner having gone through multiple ability tweaks. Many people have asked for some way to get leona into a solo lane or at least jungle, and honestly the easiest way to do that would be to have Leona able to proc her own passive, say full damage on minions/jungle camps and even half damage on champions if you wanted to rein it in vs champions.

She could use a visual update if a VGU is out of the question, but gosh darn it would be nice to praise the sun somewhere else other than bot lane.

Leona was conceived and released as a top laner, but after a while, like Zyra and Morgana, they realized she fared much better as a support. So her role very much has changed since her inception.

If I started to see Leona in the jungle regularly I would uninstall. It'd be almost impossible to lane after mobis.

I used to mainly play her jungle for a while. most fun i've had jungling so far, had to get my last m7 token through Support tho. Shit's impossible now. Even in silver you'll just get invaded and shit on most of the time.

Toplane is shit cuz either champs benefit more from buying stuff like titanic/triforce more than her or if you're going full tank you can't fight your lane opponent because they most likely have % damage while you don't.

She needs % or ad scalings to be able to contest with other champions up top, as for jungle i honestly don't know. But i'd guess something similar would atleast help her somewhat.

also proccing her own passive would be neat.

All she would need to be able to play in other roles is to be able to proc her own passive. It doesnt make sense that by herself she doesnt even really have a passive at all. Lux has a very similar passive and because of it is able to play in multiple roles(it is only her basic attacks and ult that proc the marks, but because she has the agency over it rather than someone else, she is able to fulfill multiple positions).

That way, you can very easily imagine leona players in the toplane with an ap bruiser(her ratios really arent even that bad) or full tank or tanky ad bruiser too. She is a great champion who is fun to play and can make some really sick dives. if they find her being able to proc it herself is too much, maybe tune it down for herself proc'ing it only, like maybe half effectiveness??

Shes alright top, especially with a triforce build. Issue is her passive holds a lot of her damage.

It'd be nice to see her have jungle potential, but I bet she'd give herself away by constantly shining, lol.

Twicht always could go jng, that's not new from this season.

But yeah, as someone who played Leona jng on 3c3 I would love to see her bruiser build more viable.

I take her top. I mean, I get flamed and trolled because of it, but I still do it. I haven't done it in a while, but I might try again sometime since I was still kinda new when I did that.

Not to mention Skarner is still a VGU candidate, despite his multiple past ability reworks lol

She's much better as a support to be honest and as a support main, she's one of my favorites. Seeing her in the top lane or jungle would be super awkward since her kit is geared as a support's.

I personally was hoping that Leona and Diana would receive a VS event for awhile and the news of her new skin is great and all, but imo because of worlds exposure she is probably now off the ballet for a minor VGU which I believe she needs along side Diana to truly make Diana a fighter. (I know it is hard because AP fighter itemization is abysmal/nonexistent) I think Leona could become a good Top or Jungler with minimal work, but doubt that will happen.
