Ornn top free stat and toplane king

First of all. don't get me wrong I really love playing tanks and I apreciate that conq got the truedamage removed and that tanks are playable again ist great, but why is one so strong that you have to ban them, pick a hardcounter or loose the lane and some are just barely playable? If you play toplane you know who I'm talking about. It is Ornn. Ornn has extremely hight base damage and one of the best engage ultimates. That alone would be enought to be a good champion. BUT there is this on very disgusting thing called passive ability. First of all. You dont't need to go base and get continuosly stronger on lane without the need of good backport timings. And if this, in combination with hight basedamage is not enought, the stats you get FOR FREE with completing the items are disgusting. And on top the is the fact that one can buy a item for every matchup (either ap or ad oponent) and when you get to the point where he can buy 2 armor items and get 400 armor so you deal less than 30 hp per autoattak against his 4k hp (with 4 complete items where 2 dont give any hp and no warmogs involved) it becomes digusting. and don't get me started that he gifts his upgrades to his teammate too and increases the overall gold value of the team dramatically. I mean in competetive, some analyst say when you are 3k gold down the game is very hard to win/ get back in the game. AND ORNN GIVES 6k FREE STATS. It drives me mad. So pls Riot balancing team. PLS nerf Ornn. I just want to play toplane again

Ornn is quite weak early, by early i mean before he gets his upgraded abyssal mask and sunfire cape. The reason why is simple, every other lane tank has some form of mitigation or defensive steroid built into their kit, Sion/naut/malphite shields, some have built in damage reduction, Ornn has none of those and relies on upgraded abyssal and sunfire for the extra tankyness other tanks get from their kits.

Also literally all ornn's damage/cc is dodgeable (E terrain knockup hitbox might be a bit big), these factors combine to make him more abusable in lane by many different matchups.

If you let ornn get to high levels without punishing him then yes his scaling is very strong, but to call him the "king of toplane" in this early game focused meta is laughable.

I compared his base dmg with some other tanks (namely amumu alistar sej and nautilus). Excluding his w they are pretty much the same shit.

He will be forced to go b thanks to something called mana. And ofc his own hp. He cant regain hp without buying hp items.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAA. Its funny because its so damn obvious why you find ornn the "king" of top. Because you cant see the problems he usually encounters.

Yeah the items do provide lots of stats. Too bad that before these stats ornn is a very VERY weak tank. You see unlike sion naut or maokai, ornn relies on his exclusive items to make his 10% mean something.

Something something.... OH YEAH. % penetration and you literally invalidate the tank. Unless the tank in question is malp or rammus.

ez-fucking-pz. Play morde (ornn wont be able to farm safely without dying also the window to block his ulti is extremely short). Darius can work too as long as you cancel his dash with your e. Fiora and jax will work considering ornn wont be able to proc his winning condition in a trade, brittle. Shen is the only tank that i fear whenever i play ornn because, you guessed it he can block his aa. However unlike the previous two he is such a menace because not only shen can 1v1 ornn with ease, he can use his ulti to help his team AND ruin your ulti with his taunt. Vlad might not kill him. But he will surely get a free pass in laning phase where ornn cant kill him.

Just pick Fiora into him. The fuck is he gonna do to her when she has % max health true damage, and can parry his cc?

get ahold of yourself, let those of us who want to play tanks have a few viable picks without bitching for nerfs, there are still more bruisers and mages top than there are tanks
