Definitely Not Dominion - That's for sure

As a huge dominion player when it was live, please, if you're going to try and bring it back, do it justice and bring it back as it was. I was extremely excited to log in today to see the featured game mode, but after just one game, I'm disgusted with what was once such an awesome and under-represented game mode has been turned into.

Definitely Not Dominion - presumably a joking reference to the esteemed "Definitely Not Blitzcrank" skin as an obvious convention to bring the mode back - plays absolutely nothing like the original with the removal of bot lane, removal of relics, and jungle vision. In fact, it's so far from the original that the premise of capture and hold is seemingly removed entirely, and the strategy and team coordination to scoop a win feel nonexistent. In essence, it just feels like a mad scramble to windmill for the entire game, with champions who are based solely on fights, mobility, and jungle control being the top picks, rather than enabling a plethora of options in wave clear and defense which have strategic value to maintain a lead or hold enemy home. I understand this is a featured "fun" mode, but simply put, the gameplay itself isn't, and it's disappointed a lot of hardcore ex-dominion players.

Point lockout on the clusterf*** that's the middle point is a silly mechanic for a capture-and-hold game. Once captured, your team is effectively told it's too bad and there's nothing you can do to recover from just having not been there. There's no interaction and it's simply just not fun.

I agree 100%. Sadly, you wouldn't be able to get through to Riot or the other 99% of the playerbase if you tried. The former wants all the LC$ monies and the latter just wants a laid back gamemode that requires no significant strategy. Though I sort of do find the concept of capturing those weird obelisks near enemy team spawn somewhat interesting, it's execution means there's basicaly 3 places you might want to go. Top. Middle. Obelisk.

Meanwhile I have had a game where my team won with only 10 points left on the nexus and every capture point was under attack. That was a bloody game...
