What to do about Nasus.

KitsuneQuasar··1 votes·1,184 views

I've had many a game where we are all doing fine except a struggling top laner who has unfortunately had to verse a nasus. My idea on how to nerf nasus is to take away his life steal passive and replace it with this. :every basic attack silences for .5 seconds(scaling by .12 seconds per level) can only happen every 15 seconds to the same target. this would make him better as a team fight suppressor and not a 1 v 5 bruiser. Also I did not address the infinite stacking q he has i have 3 ideas for that either this. :Nasus can only q if he has a charge gains charges when in the shop has a max of 10 stacks(this would force nasus players to go to base every once in a while and make his stacking alot less overpowering) :Nasus has no mana regen.(would force him back to base and would stop infinite stackers) :Nasus's stacks halve every time Nasus kills an enemy champion(this would prevent 1 v 5 pentas)

Final Idea to counter High Regen and Lifesteal Tanks is this :Devariuos gauntlet gives 20% attack speed and 15 armor unique passive grants basic attacks grievous wounds.(Idk why you guys removed most of the grievous wounds they were my favorite)

Riot I urge you to read my Ideas and think about them.

Sounds like someone just got rekt by Susan.

Like seriously, Nasus is so trash early game...I think he is just fine where he is at right now. I enjoy it when the enemy team picks Nasus. Cause I know that I have a free lanning phase.

This. Truth be told Nasus doesn't give two shits about his opponent, all he cares about are minions.

To everyone crying about Nasus, try this: Don't bother him. Leave him alone. If you don't attack him I promise he will let you get 100% CS without so much as looking in your direction. The only time he will actually fight his lane opponent is when they refuse to f*ck off. Trust me, he doesn't want to waste his Q cooldown on you, so don't cry about an empowered Q deleting half your health, you asked for it the moment you attacked him. Leave him alone and he leaves you alone, simple as that.

Though that is true as soon as he hits 200+ stacks he goes straight for the nearest champion shutting them down with his W(wither) and Destroying with his Q. As soon as he gets rolling Its hard if not impossible to stop him.

This is pretty much the exact opposite of what most people say about Nasus, which is you need to focus on shutting him down. Honestly he is a ticking time bomb, while he might let you get 100% of the cs, you will also be letting him get 100% of his. The difference being that he scales with each and every minion he kills + Items. You scale with only items.

I think nasus should keep sustain, but instead % turn it into a flat HP per hit like irelia Reason being, his Q coupled with his passive is retarded amounts of lifesteal.

Agreed.

No. Nasus needs to stay just the way he is, he has seen nothing but nerfs since he was released.

Go play Nasus and see how difficult it is to survive with him. The people who get hyperstacked and carry their team make it look easy.

I used to main him, I stopped because of how easy it was to stomp the other team. Stomps = Booring

Shut nasus down early and often = winions.

Cho'Gath is a great counter, from my experience.

The best champion in my opinion against a Nasus is Jayce because he can poke and speed boosts.

Darius obliterates Nasus, pieces him back together, then burns him alive, then shits on the pile of ashes just for giggles.

I feel like crying every time i'm Nasus and I see a darius toplane.

Dw hopefully the Ryze buffs will help in this matchup, I'm only happy for the Ryze buffs cause that means I will be able to fk up Susan again.

i don't want a nerf to his late game

KitsuneQuasar1 votes

Why?

Too Ton1 votes

I like late game over early in a champ so never nerf their late game potential

So far, I always pick Pantheon into Nasus. Make him pay for that Q stack. If you know how to punish him, you will make him not be viable 'till like 50 minutes in. If you can't win a 4v5 by that time, you probably deserve to lose.

KitsuneQuasar1 votes

If you play a top laner that has no ranged attacks or abilities it kinda sucks though.

Your ideas for nerfing nasus would completely destroy him as a champion. He would literally become the worst champion in the game.

KitsuneQuasar1 votes

These are suggestions not the final verdict, No champion should be better than another their truly should be balance on the summoners rift the problem is champions like Akali (who's counter was oracle's elixir[which was removed]), Nasus(who's counter was Executioner's Calling[which was removed]) and Volibear (who's counter was Executioner's Calling[which was removed]).Their needs to be more item diversity in League of Legends or Certain champions need to be balanced.

Nasus doesn't need this nerf, if you punish his weak early game and don't let him stay in lane alone then you can win against him.

Punish him? Tell me more, use examples please.

Punishing him is to stop him from stacking well early game and taking advantage of his low early game defensive stats. A good example of this is Teemo, his range allows him to harass nasus every time he tries to stack minions. An example of this would be teemo using his Q when nasus tries to stack along and his poison auto attacks will make the nasus retreat from the minion wave, keeping this up and having a jungler help with ganks makes this a hard lane for nasus. Keep in mind that a skilled nasus player will be able to deal with this so just play smart and harrass him with a ranged champion; if your playing a melee champion play one that has an aggressive early game like Riven or Renekton and if you have an advantage over nasus DO NOT LOSE IT.

I see. The problem is you dont know if you will play against a nasus so you cannot properly preemptively counter him.

yes but that's mostly for normal matches, if Nasus is picked early in the selection process during a ranked game then you can pick his counters. Having range and hard CC is good against him.

KitsuneQuasar1 votes

That is true but for the everyday casual who plays team-builder you can't.

Dead Echo1 votes

Which is why you try play smart and work with your jungler if you can.
