No More Room For Skill

I just want to learn a skilled champ and be proud of it. All Riot seems to do is buff the champs that cost more money - like any other inconsiderate business - or the simple, easy to play. This leaves those champs requiring any kind of skill to starve unless you have played them for years. There is no more room to learn skilled champions anymore. While you drag someone like Riven into normal queue, other people are dragging easy champs like Teemo or Darius to put a stop to learning anything, these summoners that are shallow in skill and okay with using champs that are so easy, they are boring to me and many other summoners. Riot is losing incentive to learn skilled, strategic champions, and letting those willing to sit and auto attack/point-click their way through the game to frenzy.

Really I, and many other summoners, are faced with two options. One, we can bore ourselves and play easy, shallow champs and conform to the steadily decreasingly skilled group of summoners, or we can try to learn someone that requires a bit of skill and get s*** on by those who are happy button smashing away to Darius or clicking away to Teemo.

And here falls the paradox of the same people in bronze and silver using the same easy, cheap-play champs that only kill and don't make plays and when they rise up they fall because the same people in Gold and Plat who know how to play champs with some depth strike them back down so that the silvers and bronzies can try to learn skilled champs and fail because of the vast majority that play pay to win, click to win, smash to win, fap to win champions. This is why no one will ever rise up in League again.

Unless, of course, Riot fixes this problem. Which, I heavily doubt, and being bored of the same old same old, I and my fellow summoners will leave and find a game that requires a little bit of depth, wit, and skill.

You decide what to do with that though. None of my business. Thanks!

All champs cost IP. IP is obtained by playing the game, not spending real money

Most champions are similar in raw strength.

The difference between simple and complex champions isn't found in raw power. Rather, it is a tradeoff between versatility and reliability.

To further expand on this:

Complex champions (Riven, Lee, Yasuo (I can feel the downvotes already), Oriana, etc) will ALWAYS offer the same raw strenght as a simpler champion (Warwick, Xin, Garen) whenever the game is in a balanced state.

What I mean by raw strenght is a combination of tankiness, damage, sustain, mobility, range, utility, and CC.

However, hard to play champions will always offer one thing that simpler champions don't have: adaptability. They inherently have MANY more ways to answer to any given situation, be it through forethought, mechanical skill, raw damage, CC or a combination of those.

If you are a Lee Sin who just hit a Q at a Lux, you can dodge/bait her snare with a well timed ward hop and Q again to be on top of her. In such a situation, a simpler champion like Kha'Zix would jump towards her only to be snared mid air and burst down.

I agree.

The ability to climb in League is mostly based on macro-play -- strategies and compositions -- and not so much on mechanics until you get to Master rank.

I guess the better question is how to improve myself. I just got frustrated by my losing streak and thought to blame those with an actual job. I'm just stuck and I want to get better but don't know how without putting entire days into the game. Any advice for that?
