RP purchases for rune pages obsolete

The whole problem is the fact that we paid RP for something specific. The point of RP was you get to CHOOSE which aspect of the game you wanted to enhance for yourself. Now, with the fact that rune pages have become totally obsolete, it's basically like you are being forced to buy random skin chests. I didn't spend my money on rune pages to simply have random skins.

RP should be refunded in regards to rune pages. They have become a total obsolete aspect of the game. You can change rune pages in game, so there is no need to have multiple ones at this point in time. Rather than having random skins awarded, either RP should be refunded, or at the bare minimum, you should be able to choose the skins.

What is the point of getting random skins to champions that you have never played EVER in ranked games? Would I have normally spent my RP on a skin for Olaf, rammus, or something else, when I simply bought these champs with IP for swapping with players in ranked? It's a total slap to the face of people who have invested in Rune pages when Riot decides that they will be phased out.

Give me back my RP. I'd much rather get emotes, RP, or even choice of my skin relative to how much I spent on rune pages in this game.
