a simple yet easy way to balance yasuo
remove his 2x crit passive and to compensate remove the -10% crit damage on his passive and let his flow shield be his passive

I have an even easier way to balance yas. Don't let his flow shield absorb 100% of the damage. I was fighting one as garen, he got down to about 50 health and I ultied just to be safe, he got his shield back up as I was running up to him and he took 0 damage.

That shield is a bit OP. Malz only gets 90% on one hit and yet everyone complains about it being OP.

Malz is a whole nother monster. Yas shield protects from a set amount of damage and is up more often, but at least he can be CC'd. Malz is ranged and can back far enough that any spells are useless against him in lane, not to mention his skills are almost entirely braindead.

Which is why people are smart and just aa him first. It blows his shield instantly, not after a few seconds. Try dodging an aa... His skills are not really braindead, in fact used badly malz is absolute trash, used well he has to hope his opponent doesn't know how to play against him. There's only a few matchups he really does well, and even then a gank from the enemy jungle and he tends to be dead.

What I mean is that Malz's kit is extremely polarizing. His passive makes certain matchups cancer as he can push and harass with almost no danger to himself. He presses one button to start the push, then another that take barely any input. The only ability of his that I will attribute micro skill to is his Q, the rest is all macro play.
It's the same issue people have with heimer, fighting him is usually a bad idea as he shoves you in with little input from him in low elo, whereas in high elo, they shove in and need coordination to take down or they will burst you down with their ult.

Interesting points. Malefic visions isn't just a "press one button to start the push," it HAS to remain on the minions until they die, otherwise he runs out of mana FAST. It's why people like Yasuo will actively aim to have this ping onto them early. In Yasuo's case he takes very little damage from this, if at all (most people only take about 10% of their hp from each one until malz has his first back for some AP) and suddenly malzahar has no real mana sustain. Press another button and you get a voidling. You need to stack these up to have any real impact, and then they get 1 shot by almost every ability or just an aa, again screwing his waveclear and manapool. Q is a massively important tool to malz. It's what refreshes his Malefic Visions, allows him to poke his opponent. BUT it also costs a huge amount of mana, which as stated above gets screwed over pretty easily. Malzahar has only two real options in lane, try to waveclear and hope his opponent is an idiot, or just to poke his enemy down, which as stated before is pretty damn hard, and leaving him without mana for waveclear anyway.

Heimer turrets are ranged, don't die in one shot, and do more damage than Malz's voidlings. Also they last much longer, have an interactive playstyle (heimer can hit you with an ability and they will shoot you before going back to waveclear), and cost him much less mana meaning he can sustain in lane almost indefinitely. Funnily enough the only champ I've found that can easily 1v1 him is malzahar, and only then after a back for a tear or lost chapter.
These item changes arent hitting him enough?
His flow shield is his passive though?
