Why is flex queue 100x easier to climb

Because Riot places people way to high. Win your first provisional game and you're pretty much guaranteed silver. That combined with the fact that they halved the XP required to reach level 30 means you get a shit ton of new players in silver ranked games that literally have no clue what they're doing.

Edit: New* players. If you've played the previous season, provisional games automatically drop you A LOT, regardless of how you do in them. You can go 10-0 and be demoted from Gold 4 to Bronze 2.

flex queue isnt where you go to just climb one division at a time

you go there to be the best of the best, to actually be competitive.

If you can't pull together a 5 man or less that hard carries so hard that a woodpusher is irrelevant to your win/loss then you are in the wrong queue. Go play your little soloqueue if you don't have the collective manpower face the flex!!!

i mean a lot of people whom i used to duo around d5 to d2 are all challenger in flexque. and i was diamond 1 in flex que even tho rito demoted from p5 to gold4 with the extra provisional. not to mention 30lp in diamond 1 is insane;p

Wow having the complete opposite experience. I have a 65% win rate in solo Queue....44% in Flex queue... Started both in Bronze 3...almost a full division higher in solo Que.
