9.10 and Master Yi's (R) clarification

Master Yi's (R) has been changed to have the movement speed to be "bonus" instead of "total" MOVEMENT SPEED: ~~25/35/45% total movement speed~~ ⇒ 35/45/55% bonus movement speed

What's exactly the difference?

the bonus you get from "bonus" movespeed is based on:

base MS
boots
% movespeed from items (not too sure on this one)

the "total" movespeed buff is based on all of the above plus any "bonus" movespeed buffs you get, like an ally Kayle's W (this is basically additive vs. multiplicative stacking)

so if you have a bunch of MS buffs from ally champions, this might be a small nerf, but most of the time its a buff

It's the same difference between Bonus AD and Total AD. So it won't affect Yi's base 345 MS, but will give based off of Boots, Zeal Items, or Waterwalking, for example.
