Jump mechanic

Hey guys !

I want to post a discussion about the jump mechanics. We saw today (October 8) on the game opposing Flash Wolves to Counter Logic Gaming something that should not be able to happen on a game.

Malphite ulted into Tristana, hit her, but she was still able to jump right after the bump. For me, there are only two ways possible : bump her before the jump, then she is stunt, or bump her at the beginning of her jump, then she is cancelled.

However, we saw Tristana jumped at max range and being stunt during the jump, which offers to her a possibility of disengage for free. I don't really get why Aatrox can be cancelled at any time of his jump, or why other dashes stop instantly where they are controlled.

Thanks for reading !

It's the same thing with Tryndamere when he spin and with Thresh and his lantern.

And Pantheon's W oddly enough.

Funnily, Pantheon's ult is the best I can link of as a jump mechanic, since he's untargetable midair.

I didn't see the game but normally all dashes are interruptable by knockups. Almost all dashes aren't interruptable by cc like stuns and snares (few exceptions: Yasuo's dash is interruptable by stuns and snares, Veigar's cage interrupts dashes while being a stun).

Tristanas jump has a long cast time, so if she casted her jump a little bit before malphite ulted her, her jump will start while beeing knockedup and, because every move abillity (dashes, knockups, knockbacks, tresh lantern, ...) cancels the current move abillity, cancel the knockup. The same thing happend in a CLG vs TSM game where ZionSpartan was able to stun yasou with has mega gnar w while beeing in a nautilus ult
