Returning Player: Jungler Question

TL;DR: What do you recommend as a strong jungler to start maining for S7?

I've just returned after a looooong break from the game (I last played around the Lucian release). I've always loved the jungler role, and I've been researching the current state of the jungle and it's tier lists.

Looks like the top junglers are: Vi, Hecarim, Shaco, Rengar, Lee Sin, Zac, and Ivern (and that the current meta rewards junglers who can gank < 6)

I own Kha'zix, Shaco, Hecarim, Lee Sin, and Zac, but am considering picking up Vi or Rengar (and WW once the rework is public).

I enjoy Kha'zix, Shaco, and Hecarim quite a bit, and have more experience with them over any of the other champs.

So what do you think? What champ would be most beneficial (in solo queue) for me to focus my play and practice time on? What jungler do you most like to see chosen on your team?

its impossible to clear new raptors with shaco.lee sin just got nerfed this patch,khazix might have a weaker clear havent played him since the update and rengo op af even with nerfs. the rest are the same i think

I love Hec, I play him a ton, but I would maybe avoid him only because he has been in a strong state for a while and I'd expect a solid nerf coming soon.

In terms of choosing from those champs- what type of JG do you want to be? Assassin- diving their back-line or picking off squishies? Go, Kha, Reng, or Shaco.

Zac brings a lot of utility in the form of CC and some crazy ganks he can make from all areas of the jungle by jumping crazy far.

Everyone loves to bitch about Lee and how strong he is and hard to play against so you may want to check him out but I don't know much about him because I rarely play him. Ton of mobility and a high skill cap there.

Some others I would strongly consider- Vi (though may be getting a nerf like Hec). I also love Wukong in the jg, he's maybe not the strongest this meta but he is simple and fun. You may want to look at the newly updated Warwick- seems like he is going to be really fun and have some very strong ganking potential.

Ivern is new and think of him as a utility support. He doesn't bring much damage but has a ton of other ways to affect the outcome of the game.

Nocturne is also super fun and pretty dang strong right now- give him a look.

Not sure I helped you narrow it down, but hopefully this helps. Again my main advice is thinking about what is your best playstyle? Do you want to be tankier with a bunch of CC but maybe less dmg? Are you good at mobility and escapes and want to get in and get out- play assassin jg. Bruiser? Marksman? Utility? Important to think about that when choosing.

I personally really enjoy playing vi and xin zhao in the jungle at the moment. They are both quite strong and have ults than can greatly impact teamfights, which is part of why I like them so much. If you are leaning more towards an assassin jungler though, I would stay stick with the Kha'zix/Rengar/Shaco picks. Also, maybe pick up Lee Sin like you were considering doing, because depending on how you do and how your team does in the early game, it's possible for you to go either full ad and play more of an assassin style or go tank if you feel you need to while still doing a fair amount of damage from his high base damage and usually building the warrior jungle enchantment on him.
