GET RID OF AUTOFILL AND OFF ROLE

BOOMSALACTA··4 votes·991 views

Why do I have to pick two roles? Why do I get autofilled? I play mid lane and I get the role maybe 50% of the time? too low of a rate to dodge. I will GLADLY wait 5 minutes .. 10 minutes to get mid then to play off role over and over again which is tilting and makes me irritable and toxic. People who don't care let them pick two roles, let them auto fill. They can save time, for me I don't care about queue time and I just want to get my role. Why isnt that an option yet?

Would you wait 30 minutes though? OR 60?

because, and don't take this the wrong way, if you want only mid, you will be getting matched with other people that want only their role. Why? because if not, you are lowering the chances of people with 2 roles to get mid, and that would be just bullshit.

let's just run the no autofill or second roles thing for a day so that people can just see what happens.

Cool and now tell me how many people you think would do that? Also love when people say things like this "I'll wait for as long as we need" type of comments... if that were the case then autofill wouldn't be a thing. You needing to select more than one role wouldn't be a thing. Everyone should be happy about waiting 30+ minutes to play a single game and that is not counting dodgers. You would pretty quickly change your mind when queue times start getting into the 10 minute mark.

if you read my post.. i said people who didnt want to wait could still select two roles and elect to keep auto fill on.. thus not really changing current queue times.. unless for some reason no people opted into that which i doubt would be the case

The problem is that that opt to keep it on will have to play their off roles a higher and higher percentage of their games until the only way to get their main role is to turn autofill off.

There was something called Team Builder (I think) that basically did this a couple seasons ago. You would select your champion, role, and play-style before you even queued up. Then you go into queue and Riot would represent you to anyone who needs that role filled to create a full team. Queue times would take MUCH longer because people could custom pick who their team was. Even after all that custom selecting and grooming, there were still huge queue times because of the lack of "support mains". You would wait up to potentially 25 minutes EVERY queue because of all these specific variables lining up.

As a side note, I loved it because I was a support main so I got into game fast! XD I can totally understand why the rest of the roles had a nightmare of a queue time every single game.

Im fine with waiting ~15m to get a match that is balanced.
