I'll leave that there. It's probably better to add to a thread complaining about it instead of making a new one. "It's normals" isn't really an excuse, considering they wouldn't match Faker up against some generic Silver 5 for the same reason: people play this game to enjoy it, not to get stomped by someone with several thousand times more experience.
its actully really fun to play against players that are high elo like that. it teaches me new things

had a diamond ADC vs a level 30 unranked in my recent flex.
ganked bot level 2 to kill both their adc and support to try to even it out, our ADC goes on to build like shit, hard feeds then flames me for not helping even more totally fair..

Lol this is what i have trouble with. I play flex solo just to try to get it up a little and i dont really uave friends that play it, or if i do theyre all like silver 5 or so. I am plat 5 in solo with 49 lp but b2 in flex. Every time i que up for flex solo i get a wierd mix of medium silver and high bronze on my team, and the enemy team has a mid gold average with one plat/diamind player. My last match was me as ori aginst a p3 syndra mid which went even. But everyone else on my team was b/s and they had 1 s2, and 3 gold 4s. Idk if its matching me with lowers expexting me to carry Every ones weight or what but on my silver 3 solo q smurf i have silver 4 flex que. Idk why flex just mixes a bunch of ranks together and says good luck unless you have a 5 man. Its a pain in the butt. Espically sense im mid gold skill level at most lanes. Got plat abusing ardent janna/nami/raka/sona with the twitch/trist one tricks
It doesn't happen in Ranked. It rarely happens in Normals, and even when it does, it's meaningless. Matchmaking in Normals can't be good, it's your fault if you're expecting balanced games in Normals.
When your team of unranked plebians are placed against a Diamond, two Golds, a silver, and an unranked.
I'm D1 and I get matched with golds and silver in norms cuz I normally play norms with a bunch of gold and silver players. Also this account was silver last season (was a smurf now my main) etc memes norms MMR is like random
The only reason why is because Normal MMR is different from ranked MMR. It's kinda stupid, but it's true. Not to mention all ranked players aren't playing ranked now, and are only playing normals, so more skilled people will be playing norms.
I see both sides of the argument. It's definitely 50/50.
As some people don't want the challenge, they just want to face people their own skill level which is fine. While I personally don't mind the challenge, and trying to learn...
But the problem is, I playing with Diamonds, you can only learn on the spot so much. Firstly because part of it is practice, practice, practice. The other part is, things are happening so fast it's hard to absorb everything there is to learn.
Everyone knows you need to CS, but obviously, knowing it is not enough. It takes practice, and playing against much better players doesn't accelerate the process.
Other than that, you can learn, strategy, map movement, awareness, general aggressive, passive, etc, macro stuff. But when it comes to micro executions and micro plays, playing against better players doesn't teach you much in that respect. That just comes with practice...
But having said that, there is a difference between 100 games for fun, and 100 games purposely trying to practice mechanics.
played a flex game trying to learn anivia (3d game with her ever) then i get matched against a diamond 3 ahri main. i said go easy on me. famous last words. (i am bronze 3 in flex btw)
Well what exactly can they do? I guess they can base it off Solo/Duo MMR but that goes both ways. For instance if we based it off Solo/Duo MMR it would fix Diamond Solo/Duo going against Silvers but what if they were Diamond in flex but Silver in Solo/Duo?
It probably means someone was duo-queued, so league just tries to balance out the general team MMR, instead of trying to work wonders and find an identical duo for them.
Diamonds do tend to be an issue on hyper-carry roles, but anything team-dependant's at a disadvantage (they don't remember how unreliable we are) And honestly if all the team's MMR is on one person, all your other lanes have the advantage, so if they're losing to inferior players, that's a bigger problem.
Normals MMR vs Ranked MMR they are different.
I actually like being matched with high elo players. I can learn from how they play and how to get better. I managed to actually win my lane against a few plats and two diamond players as a silver 5. Feels really good when you beat a player 2-3 ranks higher than you.
i imagine flex que is ur problem if its normals then its just normals, not a real problem
