New champ Immune to Ban in Draft?

So, I got to thinking, every single time a new champ gets released, they are instantly permabanned, and everyone complains how broken they are, when in reality they just get banned so often nobody knows how to play against them. What I am proposing is that new champsKayn can't be banned the first three days of their release in Normal Draft. That way players who don't play Blind will be able to learn how play against the new champ, and Riot will be able to learn if their new champ actually needs the balance changes they think he/she does. Normal Blind is an awful place to check, since it's just a huge cluster **** of players yelling at each other and instalocking their role.

Food for thought.

While I don't disagree with what you say, most folks on here would most likely be against it, for the very reasons you brought up in your post.

Based on my experiences with this MOBA, games with the new champs tend to go one of the following 2 ways:

  1. The person playing as the champ gets fed beyond ALL reason, because the enemy team, like you said, have no idea HOW to counteract them.

  2. The person playing as the champ FEEDS like there's no tomorrow, because THEY don't know how to play the new champ.

  1. are people incapable of learning? 2.Well they're playing him in Normals for a reason..

  1. No.

  2. That's true, but the fact nonetheless stands.

People use these arguments as their reasoning for banning the champ IN normals.

A lot of players simply do not want to play against the new champion until proper balance changes are made (either nerfs or buffs), so normal draft allows that. Blind pick doesn't have an option to ban a new champ.

No one in their right mind would balance using Blind pick data, and how does riot balance a champion that no one plays because hes banned all the time.
