will my mmr have dropped super low for not playing for like a year?

so I've been a casual player for a long time, I think it was last season or the one before that i even tried out ranked. I did preseason and made silver 4, was pretty happy but when the new season actually began I got silver 3. I wasn't too thrilled about it and decided that I wasn't really interested in play league for much longer anyways so after getting bronze, I decided to leave.

well Im back now, and i've decided to really give ranked a good try. I won I think 6/10 or 4/10 placement games, and got placed in bronze V. I have no problem with this, as I am confident I can climb all the way out of it, but I was just wondering if my MMR actually declines over inactivity. I searched online and they said elo drops but considering I haven't played ranked for so long im not sure if that even applies to someone who occasionally just played normals and hasn't played in well over a year.

Tl;Dr: does mmr drop over time due to inactivity?

MMR decays only for plat and above.

As for you being placed in B5, it's because placement matches are bugged.

Oh really? I was not aware that it was bugged. I felt like something was off, I didn't really think I was that low of an mmr to actually get placed in BV of all places, but as i said its no matter really. Im already b4 and i'm not really that worried about making it out of bronze, was just confused about the whole situation really. Thanks!
