Two games now where my S rank was overriden by a party member's S rank.
And I earned no chest.
Specifically, my last game and one a few days ago. Is that as intended, or a bug?

I don't see how it can be overridden because you would get the chest tegardless as long as one of you got kt.
Have you already gotten a chest on that champion this season?
Each champion can only earn one chest a season. Even if you don't get the S but a party member does it will count as your champion having earned the chest. You can check to see what champions have already earned chests on the champion page in your profile. Champions that hve earned chests this season have a golden border around their portrait.
What do you mean? That you didn't receive a chest on that champion, or the S wasn't recorded or what?

Specifically, I got an S rank and did not get a chest. This only occurs to me when playing with friends and they also get an S.
