Can we stop moving decent supports out of the role? Seriously the bot lane is already extremely stale, we don't need to lose anymore supports. Besides, she's one of the VERY few (the other being Senna) supports who can actually punish the OP supports in lane if they don't engage properly. There's no reason you can't play her mid if you want to. What exactly would make her a mid laner? Her waveclear is good, her poke is good, mana costs are low.
OP how do you propose Riot does that?

it's not a mid lane issue , but generally mages suck in mid lane , the highest pick rate mage is Ahri who is hybrid anyway, there are like other 2 mages picked and rest of mages got really really low pick rate. The lane/meta is not good for mages in general , like you can ignore how strong an enemy assassin can be in lane , but when they try to roam , what can you do?
No thanks, shes actually overpowered atm in the support role. So unless your gonna make it so she can't buy support items. And have 0 gold generation items. No shes fine.
There are very fundamental problems that prevent her from going mid lane. She is HARD CD gated, and she needs a lot of set up with plants to do her stuff. Her CSing is hard, since her AAs are clunky and her plants do not do effective last hitting. Her pushing power is not the best and her fighting style doesn't allow her to teamfight as a midlaner, as she needs set up.
Heimer kinda suffers from the same problem, but he can dish all his damage at once if he can place all 3 towers down at once on top of his R. Zyra can only have 2 plants, which is why she is better suited as a support. She can stay with her team mid lane and set herself up for a siege instead of having to move around to push a side lane as a mid laner.

Zyra has been problematic even before Riot deleted Sightstone and mages became the hot new thing botlane. She's made such an impact bot lane, that people still play MF support randomly with no purpose in solo queue. The history of Zyra in bot lane is nutty.
Obviously she'd need some changes first, but that's not her only problem. The issue is that playing mages bot lane is much better than playing them mid lane currently, so I don't know why you'd want to go there when you can be a brainless mage bot, but I agree nevertheless. Get mages out of bot lane and it would make things so much better.
i mean if they buff her in any way shape of form shes just gonna end up as an even stronger support.

I'd much rather her have a stronger presence in top lane somehow. Only because I am sick of damn near every champ being a midlaner. We need some variety in this game.
Put count down on her, if she was alone in idk.. 5 sec ... her plants will heal her on dmg put this passive on her seeds so now she can chooss up this skill if she needs sustain. Now she is better mid (cause the healing won't happen on bot and if she goes away to actiavate she will lose exp) with sustain so maybe will survive, but she needs more because of the stupid assassin 30 dashes meta. Maybe more range so she can be safe idk.
And no, do not put more dmg or more complexity. This is not the way to solve things.

But how in particular? She already has high Mana. IMO her mid /late game waveclear should be stronger but other than that she's good as midm

she works great in mid too... not sure what youre complaining about. liandry's is all you need for her to become a huge threat.
