How Come Karthus Ult Can't Be A Global VO

I hate illaoi's recall being global. Why do I need to know that illaoi recalled when im all the way over in botlane? Similarly, Why do I need to know that Kalista has bound with someone? Of COURSE she's bound with someone, this isn't even something that is useful, beyond telling players that there is a Kalista that isn't afk in the game, it doesn't serve much purpose.

Meanwhile, Karthus has a giant AOE nuke but we can't give him a global quote because muh clarity.

Lol ikr, meanwhile yells at you across the map for taking their jungle camps.

No reason why the Deathsinger shouldnt lament to all that hes about to kill them.

Because Riot hates older champions, they only gave Karthus a VU because their chinese overlords didnt like skeletons.

i dont think its fair to let the enemy team know you are recalling..if they kept track of your teleport they can be aware of a significant 4v5 window. it may be "nifty" but it grants unfair advantages on top of the exorbitant amount of information that her tentacles already give the enemy of her whereabouts

Because "his quotes are too long" and fill "the air traffic".

But please, Kalista is completely acceptable.

And Corki makes some kind of global sound, and he doesn't even have the badass global ult!

As a huge Karthus player, I feel this post on such a deep level. I need my enemies to hear my pentakill karthus sing their souls away into oblivion

To be fair, there isn't a single time in the world that anyone has been ulted by Karthus and they didn't realize it.

PLEASE, people... Sure Karthus deserves a Global VO. But don't b*tch about the Global VOs from other people. They are cool too.

"I don't have nice things so nobody should have them" is not a good attitude...

Because Illoai is newer so they could add the effects in while they were making her. From what I understand they won't make Karthus quotes global because of the length differences between languages. I don't fully understand what the issue is either, but the point is that there is some sort of language issue with simply dropping the quotes in, and fixing that would be a large amount of work for a purely aesthetic thing that doesn't really add to the clarity of the game.

Is it silly that Illoai has a global quote on recall and karthus doesn't on ult? Yes. Do most Rioters agree with us on that? Probably. Does that make it worth taking people off the Taric rework or other projects to work on it? Sadly, no.
