Is Lucian viable in the current patch, and will he be better with the season 6 ADC items?

At the moment, everyone including my friends say that Lucian is terrible, but I feel that he might have some potential... maybe. Anyway, how do you guys think he stacks up against other meta ADCs right now, and is he worth getting (seeing he's on sale)?

Also, do you guys think that he could be better with the new ADC items that are coming out? I was thinking it might be good to build some crit/cdr items on him to go along with the new essence reaver. Maybe something like this:

He would have almost max cdr (depending on how much the new essence reaver passive gives) which would let him throw out more abilities, which means more double shots, and the essence reaver would help with how mana hungry he is. Also, the attack speed would scale with his ult. The only problem I have in mind is the lack of AD from those items.

Idk, Lucian is pretty weak atm. But idc, I will play his project skin until the end of time.

he isnt strong but to say he is weak isnt true either i can still winn early and mid game so hard its over b4 most can do anything about it.He isnt meta right now and is counterd by the long ranges that are ashe tristana jinx but that dont mean he cant win. he is still fun as hell. i currently have nearly 70% win rate in ranked with Lucian sadly im low elo he probally isnt as good up higher where ppl actually know how to expliot his weaknesses

New essence reaver, in this build, gives 30% CDR ALONE. 10% from youmuus, and you hit the cap. But I think this build doesn't have a way to deal with tanks, which can be a problem

Honestly, I love Lucian. Been playing him since near the time he was released, and I love him. I've been fiddling around with builds. item 3031 item 3508 item 3158 item 3046 item 3072 item 3139 is a fantastic build. If you're feeling fairly powerful early on, skip the ER and build Ghostblade.

I think ER TF will be extremely powerful on him after the new items get out. He gets 40% CDR and the TF proc from just those two items. Other Items dont really matter at that point, his mid game will be terrifying if hes ahead.
