Losing IP for leavers and AFK'ers?

Are you serious Riot? How is this still implemented in ranked? Surely there should be a way to disqualify a match for having a leaver or someone who disconnects and never returns during a ranked match. Defeat and loss of IP is almost inevitable once a team member is missing. Why must I still be punished for a loss because of another teammate? Especially frustrating when I am performing well and lose simply because we lack 1 of the 5...
