Mark and ARAM

I play this game pretty much entirely for ARAM, usually to wind down and have a little fun. I'm not one of the players that have an ARAM only account that is stacked with champions that are OP in the game mode, I just enjoy the randomness. Currently with the state of the mark it's a little out of hand when you play a squishy champion. I don't think the spell is bad, I think it's a good change for those bruisers that don't have a gap closer, but I think in it's current state it is a bit overpowered. The range of the spell is absurd, it's like a max range Varus Q that is a gap closer. If you get hit with one from a fed Kennen and you're playing Twitch, you just get exploded. It's fairly fast, and when there are 4 of them flying at you it's hard to avoid all of them.

I think that the spell needs to be reevaluated, mainly with the projectile distance and speed. I don't think that it should be completely avoidable, I just think that right now it needs to be looked at so that the 'meta' that is ARAM doesn't get changed so drastically.

Personally, I think the length of the projectile would be appropriate along the lines of a blitz Q, something long enough to matter but not so long that people can engage from across the map. The damage is negligible, so I don't really have any qualms about that... But I also think the cooldown should be lengthened as well so that people have to think about using it instead of just spamming it.

I got hit by a binding then by four snowballs and suddenly had a alister, mumu, and thresh in my face. Needless to say, I was dead before I could even respond. Then coming back to lane I got flashed on top of by the exact same champions. Granted ARAM wasn't 'balanced' before but now its just outrageous. This new change doesn't just make some champions viable again.. it completely changes the 'who is the strongest' in the ARAM world. I'm just going to start rerolling until I get alister so I can run a dash q+w combo. #unstoppable.

I liked the MARK spell as a short term gaming mode last year. I was a novelty.... But DO NOT like it as a permanent spell. I do play ARAMs quite a bit... almost 2000 wins (won't comment on the number of losses...lol).

League... PLEASE reconsider the addition of the MARK spell to the ARAM gaming mode.

I honestly think it ruin the aspect of aram.. If you want to implement such a dynamic aspect into a normally played version just make another mode with it available for people who do enjoy that portion of it. Aram is dead to me now. It feels like the poro special edition game we had a while ago minus the poro king. It's irritating.

No. ARAM made ultra ranged champions op. Now they can get caught by otherwise "useless" ARAm champions that rely on get close to their victims. That's why Poro King was awesome.

I won't argue that Mark could use tweaking, but I don't really know in what way to change it. To me the introduction of Mark was RIOTS way of attempting to balance HA, making it more fair for melee champions that predominately got dumped on until they somehow lasted 20 minutes + and could get enough items to last long enough to engage. Mark lets them engage for free earlier on without having to be at mercy of ranged champions. Also the introduction of Mark imo screws over a lot of the people who made ARAM only accounts. Their stacked champion list of poke/sustain dominant champions are basically the ones that get dumped on from Mark because it outranges even THEIR poke. I see mark as "poke" that has more threat then someone like Varus or Jayce if it lands. I guess you could say you can increase the timer, but those champions can dish out enough damage in the 20 second interval to kill someone if they land their poke on the right target.

I personally like Mark because it allows me to play champions I would have usually rerolled before. Since I have all the champions, I am at the mercy of luck and usually if I rolled an inferior champion, the other team has 2-3 poke champions. With mark I can actually have fun throughout the whole game instead of just playing turtle while the other team gets to poke and laugh and have fun. Sure I will have fun if I last long enough to tank and kill the enemy team, but your margin for error is a LOT less compared to theirs.

I personally feel that mark is too op as is, and agree with most of what Hodari said. Also, If all 10 champs have it, its extremely chaotic. Although, I have only heard mention of Bruisers/Tanks or Melee getting the leg up against pokey AP/ADs.... but what I feel makes it too OP is when people use squishys + mark/ dash+ Zhonyas + ulti. For instance getting a early Fiddlesticks Ulti from halfway through the map when you are a team or off tanks... Or an impossible Katarina Clean up from out of no where... (like she needs any more help with that) Im happy for melee... but horrified when people start using their high damage squishies to initiate, clean up shop, and allow for the tanks to take the towers...
