Top lane has been the most crap role for a while now. op characters come from there but nothing that can actually solo carry all stages of the game. adc has been the most important role for what seems like a while now. Literally whatever becomes broken gets put top lane because it is just taken because you can play whatever you want up there as long as you help your team win. i would like top lane to be turned into an important role. not some wasteland for champions to end up because they are over tuned.

If you really look at the spectrum of champion types that call top lane home, you begin to see the underlying issue.

Top lane has way too much diversity of roles. I know how ironic that sounds, diversity should be a good thing right? Not in this case. You have tanks, Fighters, Juggernauts, some Mages, Bruisers, and thanks to Quinn and Vayne, the occasional marksmen. Holy fuck that is a clusterfuck of role diversity for one lane. How do you ever balance that without one or two different types of champion roles getting shafted as a result? Top lane needs to belong to TWO roles, MAYBE 3 at the most. All the other ones need to get the fuck out and find other lanes to call home so top can be less congested and easier to work with
