Yasuos Q Crit gets reduced by half the base damage and it isnt stated anywhere? (after crit penalty)

x9 Drunken Yasuo··19 votes·2,448 views

i just tested it in a custom game without masteries, my q crit always dealt half the base damage (10/20/30/40/50 of 20/40/60/80/100) damage less than it should deal.

with a lvl 5 Q and 92 AD my Q deals 100+92 damage non crit (192) with a crit it should deal 150% damage so 192+1.5=288

but in reality it only dealt 238 damage (-50 (half of 100 base damage)). was this ever this way or did riot nerf him without stating it in the patch notes?

EDIT: I found the solution (only the ad ratio on the q gets increased to 150% on a crit and the 20/40/60/80/100 base damage stay the same)

Good. Let it stay this way. Fuck Yasuo. Let's hope they break him even more and make his Q do 1 damage

yeah because making characters useless because you can't beat anyone that uses them is a good idea

if this is a bug it should be fixed, regardless of whether it's a buff to yasuo or not

Vistha Kai4 votes

TL;DR Base damage doesn't crit.

Ruin Lance4 votes

holy fuck. look at all these downvotes simply because it's a yasuo thread that doesn't relate to hating on him.

Spoofghoul3 votes

his q should heal enemies and every turd q knocks Yasuo up

Maybe then we can finally ban different stuff

Edit: See i fixed it for you Mr grammar.

Ah the most generic of comebacks. "u mad" is the internet version of "no, you!". It just makes people sound lame and unable to come up with a real argument or point... or even a good comeback.

That's the most generic come back? I can think of plenty others. However If I said The stuff I usually say you'd end up crying and reporting me like everyone else does. So I'll go with what I would call a "tame rebuttal". I'm pretty sure the most generic comeback is what he said "im higher elo, you're trash"

To be fair, you are trash at the game, and your stats and attitude on the boards prove it. =)

"Downvote because yasuo in his username"

I see nothing wrong here.

Shadòw2 votes

it's 75% for Q and 90% for aa's

x9 Drunken Yasuo1 votes

i already used that (*1,5 (thats 150%(thats 200-25%)))

Stars Shaper2 votes

Read his passive <--- My bad.

Constructive answer below on comments.

x9 Drunken Yasuo2 votes

i mean 75% of 200% crit is 150% damage i already did the math with it, read my post

Stars Shaper1 votes

My bad.

You should try to replicate it in a more controlled enviroment, if it's a bug of some sort (crit damage should be reduced by 25% on Q and 10% on AAs) then Riot needs multiple happenings with detailed "trigger" informations.

As far as i know Yasuo Q work similar to any other champion whos spell counts as an AA and apply on hit effects (such as Irelia MissFortune ) where the spells damage is counted as an on-hit effect hence wont crit

Alenthayn1 votes

I mean, do we really want Yasuo to hit us for 288 damage at lvl 9 with 92 AD only?

without masteries?

with a 1.33 second cooldown Q?

x9 Drunken Yasuo1 votes

no, that would break yasuo, but it isnt stated anywhere

NightmareAmazoX2 votes

1.33 Q cooldown? Yasuo has 3.5 seconds cooldown on his Q till he gets phantom dancer.

The Whamboozler1 votes

Which he probably has at level 9. Stay with the conversation.

Jefftiffy1 votes

No it is working as intended. Yasuo get's only the bonus on his AA damage. So on his Q he gets 75% from crits. 20+100AD base becomes 20+175AD on crit.

So 175+92=267. And that's before armor.

x9 Drunken Yasuo3 votes

your math is wrong but i realized where the mistake is with your post, it only amplifies the ad ratio to 150% and adds the normal base damage, so 92 ad ratio *1,5 = 138 + 100 is my 238 damage i came to

your math is wrong because his crits arent increased to 175% damage on q, only to 150% because 200%*0,75 = 150 not 175

INTENT: Yasuo's critical strike chance is doubled, but his Critical strike icon critical strikes deal 90% damage, reduced to 75% damage on Steel Tempest.png Steel Tempest.

x9 Drunken Yasuo2 votes

yes and 75% of 200 isnt 175 its 150 :)

Meep Man1 votes

Yeah, this is correct. Normal critical strikes deal 180% AD damage and Steal Tempest deal 150% AD (or 50% bonus damage instead of 100%)

NightmareAmazoX1 votes

@RiotGames Please look into this

P.S: Try buying IE, Does is it still deal half base damage of what it's supposed to do?

Dracocrash1 votes

nowhere is it stated that his base damage crits too.

Meep Man1 votes

Guys, the tool tip isn't as you might believe. When his Passive says "90% damage critical strikes" that means 200% is reduced by 20% since 20% is 10% of 200%. Confusing yes, but it's how it works. Therefore, 75% normal critical strike damage is actually 150% since 50% is 25% of 200%.

Randuin's also works this way. Randuin's causes 10% reduced critical strike damage, causing critical strikes to deal 180% damage since 20% is 10% of 200%. Therefore, 6 Randuin's would actually cause you to take 60% reduced critical strike damage, meaning a critical strike would deal 80% damage instead of 200%, causing critical strikes to actually hurt the attacker's DPS against you.

DunkinNoobs1 votes

As OP has already said, only the AD ratio on Yasuo's Q can crit and at a 25% penalty. This works out to Yasuo's autos doing more than his Q at AD values above 267 with IE.

Synnx71 votes

It wouldve been cool if they deleted him all together

Strawberrycocoa1 votes

Are you factoring in Yasuo's -10% critical damage? Just curious.

SlashStriker1 votes

as far as i know yasuo deals less dmg on Q and crits in general. Now add the enemy armor and you will get the results

Hèntaî 1 votes

I believe he gets a 10% crit reduction due to his passive and a 25% crit reduction for his Q
