New Ranked is bad? (NA)
Placements for each role is horrible. I hate this. It makes me want to kms. Anyone can relate?

I like it. Fight me
I would advise to not judge a system that is 2 days old. Give it a season and then see how everyone is feeling about it. It changed things up so it's gonna take time to get used to. After all we were used to the old one for what 6 seasons now?
I think this will be good for the overall ranked experience.
Previously, people had a tenancy to grind a specific role to climb. They would eventually reach a point where their skills in their main role would be vastly different from their skills in other roles.
That system was very detrimental for a matchmaking system that can not guarantee a person's requested role.
A Diamond top laner would not necessarily be a Diamond bot laner. They might not even be a Gold bot laner. However, when placed in a ranked match and auto-filled into bot lane, they are most likely going to be facing off against an enemy who plays at the Diamond level.
Think about how frustrating that would be. You might even have experienced this situation yourself.
This would contribute to griefing, flaming, leaving, trolling, inting, ..
It also contributed to off meta laning, that throws gameplay off. (personally, I don't think this is necessarily a bad thing, but a lot of people don't like it)
Also consider how the previous system didn't encourage players to diversify their role. The previous player mentioned isn't likely to even attempt to improve their skills in that role because of how much more significantly difficult the matchup is. Conversely, the new system would place them in a match against players of the same skill level in their off role, making auto-filled and intentionally playing this role less frustrating.
Even on an ego level, I think this would be good. There are a lot of players that think they are hot shit because they have a high rank in one role, but in reality that is THE ONLY role they are any good at. People with lower ranks may be more appreciated for their skills if they can show that their skills across all roles average higher than people who only ever play a single role.
