Thoughts on The "Nerf" on Akali.

This is really late but i thought riot would change akali back by now.

So if riot really wanted to nerf akali are they going to change her back to how she used to be anytime soon? I mean movement speed boost is sure "ninja" like but as mid laner who uses skill shot based champions this was more of huge buff than a nerf. I used to be able to predict where akali would be within her w but now that's almost impossible

So anyone think riot will change her back to how she used to be since they wanted to nerf akali? (I mean there is a reason why movement speed runes so freaking expensive compared to armor and mr)

I mean riot if you want to really "nerf" akali just reduce the spell vamp passive and change the movement speed back to mr and armor

Me too, except I do it too fast for her to USE her shroud

It's kind of a huge nerf. Movespeed doesn't really matter to Akali.

Sounds more like a pro than a con.

Smoke-grenades that don't conceal anything seem kind of lame and un-ninja-like.

How is that impossible? Many, many AP Mages all have AoE spells (many with CC) that can be used while she's in her Shroud.

because in higher people know how to dodge with out the movement speed but with the extra MS most skill shots become very easy to dodge

now that the mr and armor bonuses are gone a certain purple prophet can just nuke the entire shroud to force her out of it

Up front: this is meant to be an overall nerf, but we hope Akali players will be more focused on the cool plays they can make with this new mechanic

It is a buff. It's impossible to hit her now if your aoe don't cover the entire shroud. She can also sprint in/out of the shroud for quick attack/escape.

What he is saying is that Riot intended it to be a nerf, but that it is actually a buff. That's why he quoted rito in his post right up there.

In terms of overall tankiness, its a nerf, but considering how much mobility is prized, it is technically a buff. She is already hard to target so now its even harder, though if you do have the skill to hit her, she will die faster.
