Fact : The Flex ladder separate from solo rank, ~~Equal to HARD RESET solo ranked. --- ~~

[UPDATE after maintenance 15 Nov 2016] RIOT revoke the system. all was base on MMR on solo ranked. + soft reset. FLex is just another old solo ranked. ]

Q : Do I have to play ranked Flex during preseason ? or wait till season start !! A : You don't have to, but playing flex SR(1-5s) / TT(3s) during preseason = ladder **calibration **

Q : How about Soft reset ?

A : Yes , Flex and solo getting a soft reset at the start of the season. That said, games played during the preseason will have SOME IMPACT on where you place at the start of the season.

Q : Flex ladder Separate from solo rank. What does that mean? A : ~~ That mean this Ladder place you to shine... or Burn . You might team up a lot with or play against [Plat/Diamond SOLO ladder player] in bronze/silver Flex Ladder . You might team up or play against [Master/challenger SOLO ladder] in Gold/platinum FLEX Ladder ~~.

Q : What Could Possibly Go Wrong ? A : Queue populations will split (flex / solo duo) --> problem --> match quality inconsistent or long queue times .

All queues need solo players to survive. It may work in some regions, but not others. If that's the case, we'll turn the Flex Queue into A STRICT FIVE-MAN QUEUE, effectively converting it into the old ranked fives queue .

First, we’re planning to launch Flex Queue with an IP bonus that will run through the first week of the season. If Flex Queue doesn’t attract enough Solo/Duo players through the weeks, we will test other incentives, like higher-weighted position preference for solos, windowing Flex Queue timing, or just plain limiting Flex Queue to pure 5-person premades (this is already in place in some regions).

Q : Flex SR and TT ?

A : Yes, There are Summoner Rift(SR 1-5s) and Twisted Treeline(TT 3s) Flex Twisted Treeline . ATM only on Latin America North.

Reward season 7 :

For 2017, anyone who achieves Gold rank or higher in either Solo/Duo or Flex queue will receive the Victorious skin, along with an extra reward for those who manage the climb in both.

Q : When season 7 Start?

A : THE 2017 SEASON WILL BEGIN DURING PATCH 6.24!

Patch dates can change; check back for the latest target!

---Try To do this (-edited). how to know? use website like Na OP GG or LOL KING or else , check your graph ranked (Month) --between 1 January 2016 -> 1 Feb 2016. extra placement match -> if you will get division not around that spot after extra , let me know (comment)

as you can see in this graph. , you got silver 3 or silver 2 after placement match (season 6).

now , after this extra placement match[UPDATE after maintenance 15 Nov 2016} .. they revoke all the hard reset into soft + base on solo ladder mmr previous season (you were silver).

sooo,...here we are... we back to where we start from last season placement.

if you did hard reset, people got really wrong placement as they faced way more skilled opponents .

TRUE. That how season 1 started. battle royals. Everybody start with Silver 1 ELO( normal). System ladder Algorithm -> MMR balance not instanly . all fight for better spot. Smart player will use their knowledge/game mechanic to climb the ladder faster.

MMR will be balanced... but taking time. (ELO hidden) .

I suggest RIOT to go KGS server and learn how reset should work

I believe they already have best people (who understand this) and work on it .

OK, so far i played 15 flex games, i won 12 of them. I was plat 5 last season. After the 10 placement game in flex , they put me i gold3, fine that was great. BUT, with this extra game that i won , they placed me in silver 1 WTF so i have to win them all to be in gold ?????????? pls need answer

That's improper, accordind to that statement in last year i've not grown a single bit, pretty much it's just the Riot way to make you grind again to your desired division after you play as many games as humanly possible, so you can have another full time job, year long to play League, to endure all the crap again, for nothing.

I did my placements and got Silver 2. I wasn't too happy about that but whatever I kept playing. After 3 days of playing constantly I got myself into Gold 3 and I was really happy about it !

Come today... I log in and start a ranked game. We end up remaking because of an AFK and then....

"You have been placed in Silver 2"

One important comment: if you did hard reset, people got really wrong placement as they faced way more skilled opponents, but MMR update assumed they were proper position.? I suggest RIOT to go KGS server and learn how reset should work. It should track MMR of EVERYOEN you ahve fought against until their placemetn is fixed, and determine your placement according to that. Unfortunately RIot ahs proven to be totally ignorant to mathematics involved and even hostile towards people pointing it out.
