30+ Minute Champion Select Dodge Penalty

This system really needs to be reevaluated. Being penalized for dodging an inevitably disastrous match during champion selection seems a bit absurd, even more so where ranked matches are concerned. Here's why: Right now, honest players with aspirations of climbing the ladder have two choices, either endure an inevitable loss and a substantial reduction in League Points or suffer the loss of a few points and increasingly substantial time delays for joining matches. The dilemma is particularly problematic in the Bronze tier. This tier is riddled with trolls with nothing better to do than inflict misery on others for their own amusement or players in denial of their lack of preparedness for ranked matches. It's undeniably unfair to those of us that want to succeed to have our gaming experience disrupted by problematic players. Out of the 13 matches I've joined over the last two days, I dodged three with at least two matches played in between. The first penalty was 5 minutes, the second penalty was 30 minutes, and again today I dodged a match due to a team composition that lacked an ADC or a Support, and was again prevented from joining a match for 30 minutes.

My suggest would be this: Either remove the time penalty entirely, and maybe increase the LP penalty to 6 for leaving matches. Or, after successfully completing a match reset the penalty to 0. Another option would be to grant "dodge credits" for won matches. That is, for each match you win you are allowed to dodge a match during character selection without penalty.

I agree. I only hit level 30 yesterday and won't be playing ranked for at least a year, but even I want to dodge normals. I can only imagine how bad it would be in Bronze/low ELO matches.
