This isn't a one and done discussion. It should be reoccurring until Riot fully understand what's going on.

This is not some random dude talking about the game. This is an ex professional player who has been kissing Riot's as* for the longest time.

Now, he's finally speaking up on the problems with the game. Let that sink in. Riot's biggest fan is frustrated with the state of the game.

Scarra's voice isn't the voice of God. Don't treat it as such. He isn't correct by convention, and you haven't given any discussion on what he said.

I'm sharing my own opinion on him, is that not even allowed? Agreeing with other people? and would you stop constantly replying to this thread if you're not interested in any further discussion? It's kind of ironic how you want to avoid this yet feel the need to keep coming back just write something more.

Honestly, I'm glad the streamers left. They were killing themselves emotionally, and for what? I honestly hope that for every streamer that leaves, a large chunk of their fanbase leaves with them. If that's what it takes for Riot to fucking open their eyes, then so be it.

in any highly-pvp oriented game if you play professionaly for money, you burn out rather quickly. Ofc what Riot did only messed everything up even more, speeding up the process.

Sorry RIOT, but your little love puppy known as "Runes" (cough Masteries) has to go. It's running around the house making a mess. Your guests aren't happy about the barf on their shoes and your balance team is trying to offset the imbalance by tying ribbons on its tail to make it look cuter. Go to the closet and find Morello's nerf bat. It's buried under a few years of patches notes.

I play more ARAM than Summoner's Rift. I don't do ranked because it stresses me out.

In ARAM, the small group size makes us all a little less toxic.

On Summoner's Rift, there's just so much toxicity... I wish League could go back to people being friendly. There's a lot of problems with League but the biggest problem is the people.

I love the example he gave of dmg creep in WoW arena. Wanna know the connecting thread between WoW and LoL? Ghostcrawler starts working on the game and all of a sudden dmg is out of control

We already had a pretty decent thread on this that went on for almost a full week. We all know. On top of that, we already have damage nerfs to Runes coming, as Scarra said was needed, AND buffs to Tank durability.

Pretty on-point.

Especially his WoW analogie at ~150, "You had to use you're cooldowns in a smart way to get the result that you wanted" I feel like that was the case in lol aswell, We had some high impact high CD spells, tanky targets were actually tanky enough to not just pop if you throw everything on them, you head to hold back some skills and wait for the right moment. The skill on a tank like Alistar was no to get the W+Q combo right, it was to know when NOT to go for that combo, knowing when to hold back.

And right now, or actually since S6, this no longer is the case. CDs are generally so low on new designs and through overabundance on CDR that many things are best used if spammed to max uptime/dps becuase riot wants players to "have more buttons to press in a fight" - a fundamentaly stupid reason in a strategic and tactical game, it shouldn't be about pressing many buttons fast, it should be about pressing the right button in the right situation at the right time.
The other big issue is that TTK is so low that you basically have to dumb your entier kit imidiatly, or the fight is over befor you get a chance to use you're shit. Either you go instanly all-out and burst down you're opponent first, or you won't get a chance to go all-out. There is no time to wait for openenings, sneak around for flanks, setup combos, you either take em down in a blazeing flash of madness, or they take you down that way.

I personally also don't like the high damage meta where its basically "cc and focus and blow up" but whats more important is the stuff he says about community attitude

"think that there is so much negativity in the community right now"
