Cindikle4 votes Works great on his passive. He's generally about the teamfighting so spreading your fire will bring you a lot of damage with this and his passive. His AP ratio's are not that amazing to make his burst from flat AP too great. Although it's doable.
Synergies with Liandry's. But is not required. It helps with kiting and survaiblity. Since he's immobile both of those are great for him. But if your team has enough CC for Liandry's to be getting it's double damage often enough this is skippable.
Is strong in general and is getting nerfed. For Brand who has low ratio's it is nice to have on him. Even more so that I do believe his passive can proc it. So you can possibly get two procs out of a combo on him.
I don't think I'd ever get this on Brand. Being immobile, you really don't want to be going in for AA's.
Far as fiddle and kat goes. You should almost never be getting Liandry's and Rylas on them. Fiddle is a maybe on Rylia's as it an help him, but it often has to Hourglass soon after ulting. The fact that you don't see people building them anymore is either you're getting to a higher MMR or are lucking out. Or did Riot update their recommended items finally?

Kass is a different beast. He also gains damage based on mana for his ulti. So you're missing some of his scalings. Q - 70% W - 10%+60% E - 70% R - although not worth much it's roughly 30%.
That puts his full combo at ~2.4AP. Give or take his stacks on R and his mana vs ap. If he has 2500mana he gets 150 damage. That's 30% if he has 500ap.

Brand's spells light his targets ablaze, dealing 2% of their maximum health as magic damage per second for 4 seconds, for a total of 8% maximum health. Brand's spells also have bonus effects on blazing targets.
So will slow for the full 4 seconds after any spell hits and Liandris will tick DOT dmg forever.

bgnation1 votesInteresting, I view Brand as a burst champion, so the proc from ludens+lichbane would already do twice/triple as much damage as the liandrys DoT and +12% movement speed isn't too bad. And you're going to autoattack at least once during a spell rotation. Liandrys seems better on champions who already have slows built into their abilities, i.e.

aaronautumn1 votesLiandry's was never good on Kat. But anyways, because Brand relies on comboing all his abilities together, Lich Bane doesn't make much sense, he might proc it once during a fight. These items are good on him because of his low range, he needs defense stats more so than other mages. Also, landing an e+q combo is much easier when you have a slow.

KaileeNox1 votesthe main reason why people use Liandries is it keeps proccing with his burn, so with his burn for 3-4 seconds or whatever it is, it keeps liandries refreshed continually until its down and Liandries does % dmg so its extremely powerful. pair that with rylais and ya got hefty % chunking per second

which means hitting one spell slows them, burns them with your passive, and doubles the burn of liandries because of the slow.
overall it takes 2% max health + 4% current health every second for 4 seconds and 3 seconds respectively with one spell hit. from full health it will do ~20% of their health without counting the damage the spell actually does. It also provides magic pen so if they have low amounts of MR you will be doing close to true damage.
