Why does every new champion look the same? (generic) dash, invisibility, TONS of mobility and spammable spells. Why is there no variety of builds anymore? Every single game everyone builds the same exact thing. Where's AP trist, where's AP kog, where's AP yi? Why is Riot removing build variety and not letting people choose their way of playing? Why were so many good items removed? Why are so many old champions dead because they can't compete with the ridiculous designs of all new champions that come out? Why do champion reworks turn interesting champions with interesting playstyles into generic champions like the new ones? Pyke and Kayn are example of cancer champion design because they have everything = gap closer, escape, tons of DPS, speed boost, invisibility, Pyke even has a pull like Blitzcrank. They have EVERYTHING at once, while old champions were balanced and had one thing but lacked the others. That's why they're dead because they simply can't compete, until Riot decides to rework them and turn them into another generic champion that has everything just like the new champions.

Stop, AP Yi was not something that was well designed, well thought out, or should be seen as something that was good for the game, just stop, right there.

But it worked and was a play style that one could choose. It gave players options. You might say it was OP cause Q deals huge damage and makes you invisible for a few seconds but it's not any more OP than the shit we have today where Kayn can become invisible and then one hit you. Simply stun the AP yi and he's dead, his AA is weak

No, it was FAR more OP then Kayn.

You can still use off builds and succeed, but there's a difference between allowing for off builds and making champions diverse enough to build anything. Going AP Yi or Trist is possible, and you can succeed, but its not how they're meant to be built. They're both auto based AD hyper carries. If you allow for too much build diversity, you end up with champs like Kai'Sa, who can build whatever they need in any situation and still be an absolute terror to deal with.

AP Yi and AP Trist were removed because they were the very definition of cancer.

There is 0 fun getting legitimately 1 shotted and then they jump to safety like nothing happened like AP Trist, or in the case of the AP Yi, who would 1shot 5 times in a row and Ace your ass.

If they were to be put back, alright, build diversity and all yeah bois, but at the very least, NOT in the way they were.
