Swear to the Summoner's Code! Summoner's Code Summary!
Have you ever heard of the Summoner's Code? Have you ever even thought about what is in the last bar on the Account Management? That is where you can find the Summoner's Code, but I have read the whole thing, and I just want to tell you just what the Summoner's Code really is and how you can swear to be a part of it.
If you don't want to read this all, and you just want to go to the "Swear Yourself to the Summoner's Code" part, just go to the end, but I did take a lot of time making this so it could be nice to read :) The choice is up to you!
Part 1: Support Your Team What does it mean to really support your team? How does one support your team? Be thoughtful! Show support to the other players! When your last pick on a ranked game in the loading screen, be a team player and do the last role, even if it is a role you never like to play! When your in the game, have good communication skills with your team and be a great Team Member!
Part 2: Drive Constructive Feedback When you want to tell Riot something, do it in a calm manner. When you do this, you get a chance to show people what you believe is right and what is wrong. For instance, if you really wanted a change in something, don't go saying how Riot has been doing a bad job with a champion, just show why you want a change and why is could support other players.
Part 3: Facilitate Civil Decision
What Riot is saying in this one, is that they want you to meet people! Riot wants you to go into conversations and have a good time meeting people! Instead of fighting with harsh words, why not just settle it with a good conversation. What is stronger?
, or
! (What I meant to say was, "What is stronger? A fight, or friendship!")
Part 4: Enjoy Yourself, but not at Anyone Else's Expense Having fun is what Riot wants you to do, but they don't want you to ruin someone else's day. A joke you make to a friend is much different than saying something to someone on the internet. What you may consider a joke could be taken literal, and when one teammate is down, chances of victory are lowered.
Part 5: Build Relationships Exactly what the title says. When you have a good time with someone in-game, don't be afraid to send them a friend request! When you have more friends, it could mean that you can find a duo partner instead of going solo!
Part 6: Show Humility in Victory, and Grace in Defeat When you win a game, chances are the person on the other side is raging at the fact that they lost. If you won, thank the people in the chat for a good game and good luck on future games! If you were part of the loosing team, don't point fingers at other people, this is all a team effort, so just congratulate the other team for winning and try your best to win the next one!
Part 7: Be Resolute, not Indignant Some people rage at others if they had an off day. When someone starts to say mean and bad things at you, don't AFK because that ruins the experience for the rest of the team. Instead, the ignore and mute buttons will always be there for you. Also, don't try to stoop down to their level, just tell them to calm down and focus on the game, because we can still win!
Part 8: Leave No Newbie Behind! We all started this way. When you see someone who doesn't know what something is, give them advice and try to help them get through the situation instead of getting angry at them for trying. When we teach new players how to play the game, it could lead to greater players in the future!
Part 9: Lead by Example If you have a dream, just like Riot, to make this game blossom, stick to these rules! Everyone will have a great time ifwe stick by this code!
Swear Yourself to the Summoner's Code!
Read this out loud to yourself
"I (Your Summoner name here) hearby swear to be part of the Summoner's Code. I will stand strong for my team whenever the time is needed, being there when the time's get rough. I will give Riot feedback on my times in a respectful manner, knowing they are the creators of this game. I will have good conversations with the people I meet and not start fights. I will not ruin anyone's day and help people enjoy their time on LoL. I will build relationships and have great times with people I will be playing with. I will be humble and graceful at the end of the battle. I will not rage at others when I, or they, have an off day. I will help people and give friendly advice when a new player comes into the Rift. I will have a dream to make this Code become a part of League of Legends!"
If a Riot employee reads this, I hope you liked what I did and I hope that League will someday become a part of this! HOPE EVERYONE LIKED THIS!!! HELP LEAGUE BECOME A GREAT GAME!!!
