Where Did My MMR Go?

I’m in Gold 2. I steadily climbed all season. I have a 55% win rate and was generally gaining 19-20 LP and losing 15-16 LP. I played 10 or so games with my friend in Silver one, during that time I got a little less LP for wins and lost more in losses. Makes sense, I’m playing in a lower elo. AFTER I play with him and am back to solo with all plat 4-gold 3 players, I now still only gain 17-18 LP and lose 16-17, still with my 55% win rate. Shouldn’t it balance back out once I’m back to solo? It’s been messed up now for maybe 100 games since I duo’d. Any insights would be great.

it doesn't balance out once you go back on your own, your mmr will get dragged down with your duo you've basically just murdered your lp gains because of it lol

it's to prevent boosting which is reasonable but it ends up with scenarios like these

Dang yeah that’s kinda messed up...I wish if I went back to normal by myself, it would balance out. Half the fun of league is playing with friends even if they’re a little lower in rank
