Please stop reworking characters

We all want fair and balanced game play but what many people dont want is for riot to "rework" a character. Many of us find a particular character very fun and the characters mechanics mesh well with our playstyles. Luckly league has many characters to choose from so almost everyone can find a few characters that they love to play. But... there is nothing more infuriating then having your loved character completely changed. Like i said, we all want balanced game play, tweek some numbers and cooldowns to bring the character inline with what is balanced. If you want a character with specific mechanics create a new character. Stop changing existing characters into something else. As a community we have now waisted our time learning a champ that no longer exists, spent money buying a champ we dont want, and in general are now frustrated playing this new character that is nothing like the character we fell in love with. Please riot, consider changing numbers and not reworking anymore characters, just add new characters to fill the void. Changing existing ones ruins the gaming experience and makes anyone who loved the former character very bitter. Every season ive seen character reworks and Starting with gragas Ive had more then 4 of my absolutely favorite characters reworked, some like gragas are not even meta for the original lane they started for rendering them unplayable for the people that bought them. The character rework is killing any drive i have to play the game and ive lost many of the characters i loved. So i beg you riot, please adjust numbers and cooldowns, and stop reworking characters...

There are things that simple number tweaks can't make balanced. Take Kassadins/Leblancs/Talons silences. Their kits made them incredibly oppressive because it was Silence, blink, burst, dead without any counterplay.

Number tweaks could not stop that combo. Only make it too weak to use or too strong. Neither of those are fun.

Here's the sad truth to a lot of mains who play champions that are being updated or will be updated: what you like about them might actually be their main problem in the first place. Poppy's ult was the most broken thing ever and all of her prerework mains claimed that it should have stayed in some way!

Obviously there are a bunch of misses. Mordekaiser of 5.16. Akali, Shaco, and fucking Kog'maw. Hell there are probably some mages, but despite everyone saying that Syndra was "ruined" or that Vladimir was "destroyed" they still see some play. Syndra was pick/ban in bloody Worlds!!!

This isn't even considering the big reason why Riot even does these reworks: to help diversify their champion list. Riot has a shit ton of champions and many of them function too similarly that you only see them when they're just better than the other.

Talon and Zed, and Graves and Lucian are the biggest examples of this. You only saw Talon when he was just better than Zed and Graves was basically a worse lane bully than Lucian.

So they made their kits more diverse. So sorry if you hate the changes, but if they work in their intended goal then they're here to stay.

Old LeBlanc and Katarina were hardly "fair and balanced".

I used to love playing rengar. but now I am considering to stop playing league. there is no fun in being forced to play a champion, that you would choose rengar over any day. :/

A rework happens when a Champion can no longer become properly balanced by changing numbers around, this usually happens because either a Champion's kit is extremely outdated or they are pretty much feast or famine.

Considering LoL never stays still, be it with number changes, new items and champions and other things, it's understandable they want to bring everyone up to a more modernized (and somewhat balanced) state.
