In preparation for the Team Liquid/Razer 1v1 Tournament this weekend, I would like to get the public's view on 1v1's. Specifically good strategies in general and best champions to pick/ban overall. I think Pantheon will be effective, as he is one of my mains and can just q-spam until the opponent is at half hp, then jump on them. I would probably ban the likes of caitlyn.
Strong early game 1v1 is what you're really looking for, either safer stuff like 
or killier stuff like 
. Bruisers with good level 3 diving are strong, not unlike

Basically you either want really long range or really high early kill potential.
Kog Urgot
Darius is pretty good. I specifically think lee sin is the best 1v1 in the game as he can get literally anyone in the game and he would always stand a chance. Zed is extremely good as well.

I'd say the most balanced pick would be or 
. They are ranged, have high damage and some sort of autoattack mitigation against other ADCs, can win any lane, and most importantly can self-peel a Zed, Riven or Irelia jumping on them.
