Team bans my champ... WTF (easy fix)

Why is it that my own team bans my champ, then says, "sorry I wasn't paying attention".

  1. Now I'm salty because I have to play with this team that already demonstrated they have no situational awareness.
  2. What's the point of letting my team know who I plan on picking if they don't pay attention?
  3. Isn't this an easy fix? Make it so your own team can't ban a champ you intend to play. Surely, I can't be the first to think of this (and don't get mad cuz I called you Surely).

Man i understand how that can be frustrating but this happens. If you were to "fix" it and do it so you can't ban a champion, you can easily use that to troll others. You can argue back that people troll you for banning but you didn't technically pick yet so there's no strings attached. Again, it is frustrating sometimes especially if it is your main but again... it happens. Humans make mistakes. Do you flip out over one mistake your teammates make in game that might demonstrate they lack situational awareness? As someone who has done this and had this happen to me, just move on. Complaining and remembering it will just drag on this frustration that you legit can't do anything about and Riot will never implement that kind of thing. Also even if you are hovering, if the opposing team is first pick I will still ban your champ if your champ is a priority pick.

Then at least make a pop up that says something like "are you sure you want to ban a team members champ". At least they can't say they weren't paying attention.

I support this idea. If a team member has hovered over a champ and you ban someone, it should prompt window of like 5 seconds (pausing champ select countdown) until a decision is made or timer runs out. But seems a bit way too elaborate.
