Counterplay for Heimerdinger and Zz'Rot Portal

I just play a game which make me feel totally powerless.

Mid lane against Heimerdinger with Fizz (normal game). As Heimer is well-known for his early pushing power, I plan to get some farm before I may fight his 3 turrents.

The nightmare begins when he gets the Zz'Pot Portal. There's nothing I can do to stop him from pushing the lane. Even the jungle Lee joins me, we can't fight the Heimer with his turrents because their jungler would join the fight too.

Then their whole team push mid lane with Zz' Pot Portal. This game becomes a tower defense which the result is predictable.

Dudes, what may/should I do to play against him? What're the options? Maybe a Mage with wave-clear?

Try playing a champion with reliably high wave clear and sustain.

If Heimerdinger fails to siege you out on his own, it's likely he will go somewhere else to be more effective.

As for which champion could do this, I can think of Cho'Gath. Anyone who builds Tiamat could easily waveclear hard enough to keep up with Heimerdinger. A few more champions (that I regrettably had to google) are Malzahar and Anivia.
