Is Everything Broken?
[rant]
League feels like a completely different game ever since riot went from nerfing items and champions who were too op, to making items and champions OP. I have thoroughly enjoyed playing League of Legends since season one, it being my most played game by far, but so far since "Midseason Magic" I haven't been able to play a game without just being frustrated. I didn't mind the Juggernaut patch and buffs to tanky items, and I thought the Marksman patch was cool. Even though both certainly made some champions very strong and difficult to deal with it, neither of those patches really felt overbearing. But with this last patch, where the hell do I even begin?
After only 10 games into this patch, I only really enjoyed one and am finding it increasing more difficult to keep playing. Is it just me or does every game feel like half the players are playing for the first time? What happened? I went from being that one guy who just refuses to surrender no matter, to feeling like the game is over before we're 20 minutes in and waiting to surrender because things got out of hand way too quickly. Between some insanely strong champions coughMalzaharcough dragon buffs and Rift Herald, I'm seeing a lot more players and teams snowball. I just got out of a game where a jungle Malzahar did dragon 3 minutes in and by 20 minutes they had 3 Ocean drakes. Granted our jungler was Nami and their entire team took advantage of that fact, but still Malzahar is disgustingly OP, he has been my most played mage and I don't even want to touch him after this patch. Where is the fun in playing someone completely broken? And why is it necessary for Ziggs to be able execute turrets with his satchel charge? Wasn't it enough that his passive has basically become a built in lich bane that does insane damage to towers? Hell lets build a lich bane on him and get a 1.0 ability power ratio on an empowered auto attack and wack the tower with it, auto it a couple times and finish it off with a satchel charge. It's like in every game now there are at least 5 things that are broken. I would say it's impossible to play a game without being frustrated about something, there is just so much to choose from now.
Honestly when I read the patch notes, there were only really three things I was excited about that I also felt were balanced and fair. The changes to Annie's Tibbers, and to Swain's and Zyra's kit. Swain's kit changes are really quite nice while still being balanced, it is a pretty solid change and it's cool to see him get some play again. I feel like the items are a mess and a lot of player's are struggling to figure out what to do with them. Personally I feel like it's a whole lot of overcompensating for the lack of mana pots. I don't know how they went from removing mana pots to making it so that half the ability power items make it cheaper to cast your abilities by refunding you mana, with one of them giving you health for casting abilities, and one rewarding you for taking damage.
Not only is the gameplay broken, the client is as well. I have never really had a problem with bugs or crashes until recently. The first bug that started popping up on me is one that started within the last year, were something would occur in game where your left and right mouse buttons will stop working. Every single other button will work fine, and your mouse would work fine outside of the game, but in order to get it working in game again you had to force the client to close and reconnect. This happened to me enough times that I've lost count sometime after the 5th occurrence. But before this patch that was really the only issue I would run into and it was rare enough that it never really bothered me. But since the last patch I have had frequent crashes. It's pretty much
teed that the first time I try to access the hextech crafting tab each day the client will crash. It will also crash with the first mystery I buy myself, and on occasion myself or a friend will crash when we enter champion select. If Riot keeps this up we all might as well be playing HoN, there will be no point in bans because everyone will have something that's broken that's if you are lucky enough to make it that far without the client crashing. Which brings me back to the topic, the answer is Yes.

Someone please continue this topic or start a poll I'm too tired to care anymore right now. Night fellows, and remember to wear protection when Malzahar is on the rift.
PS Riot,
