Possible Ezreal buffs/ QOL changes? [Ideas/Concepts

Attack speed

Ezreal Ezreal on his own is a really solid champion with a really basic kit. With the removal of Kleptomancy however, Ezreal will most likely need a few buffs in order to raise his current 47% win rate (according to champion.gg). While Riot did an amazing job on his mini-VGU with the reworked W (Essence Flux) there are other areas that could use changes. Mainly his passive and Q.

First we'll start with his passive, His passive is very simple. For every ability you land you gain 10% attack speed up to a cap of 50%. Now when it comes to Ezreal, he is defined as a spell-slinging ADC. While this passive may help with the ADC aspect it doesn't do much to the spell-slinging aspect. I believe that something should be added to his passive in order to better showcase this. My idea for this "new passive" would be to keep the attack speed but also add a cast time reduction, something that would be unique to him. The goal of this cast time reduction would be to make him more fun and fluid to play by allowing him to ceaselessly weave spells into each other and hopefully make his more active as a champion during fights. (almost like Lucian).

When it comes to his Q there is only one change I would make. Make his cast time scale with attack speed (and maybe even make it reset autos but that's a little much). Ezreal's Mystic Shot is his defining ability. breaking down this ability, it's basically a long range Auto-attack. It allows Ezreal to whittle down opponents from afar and (if it's not blocked by a minion that just so happened to walk in front of you) also become an extra source of dps when weaved in-between auto attacks. It feels really awkward to weave in Q's at high attack speeds because sometimes the cast time is actually longer than just straight up auto attacking. abilities scaling with attack speed isn't a new concept either, the best example of what I imagine this would work is Yauos Q(Steel Tempest), Jinx's W(ZAP!!), and Lucian's Q(Piercing Light).

These 2 ideas are mostly just aimed at making Ezreal more fluid to play as and serving as a QOL change/Buff but I would like to hear thoughts from other people as well! me being an Ezreal main I do feel strongly about these changes as I don't think they would be over-powered but would definitely help him out.

So you just want a better Lucian.[sg-ezreal]

Ezreal being 47% winrate is totally NORMAL.

As someone who literally does nothing but crunch Ezreal's numbers when I do play, Ezreal's been more or less at the strongest he's been since Runeglaive's removal. With his rework, his W + E gave him TWO ways to get guaranteed Muramana procs. At the same time. Now, with PoM, his Muramana damage doesn't fall off mid-fight. It used to be that back in the day, you'd need a cheesy frontloaded build backed by a severe lead, and you'd need to lead with your ultimate from out of vision to 100-0 someone. Now that's just a Tuesday. With the introduction of Transcendence, he can even purchase a Frozen Heart and do more damage than he would with a Zhonyas between Muramana and Transcendence, provided he's got a decent mana pool to pull from w/ Muramana, which he always will with Presence of Mind. Taking the Precision tree gives him just as many free stats as Klepto would from its bonus gold, unless you had a really lucky Klepto game, not even counting the extra mana restore from Presence of Mind, which is absolutely huge in some games, or its bonus mana contributing to Ezreal's AD pool. Plus, the bonus stats from Precision stick around after you're full build, whereas Klepto's benefits fell off after full build.

He doesn't need a buff. He has a sub-50 winrate, which is fine, because he's the stereotypical autofill ADC and no one who gets autofilled ADC plays him properly. This is NORMAL. Where are the days where Riot would nerf someone like Kai'sa(My second most played ADC, so still no bias here) for being outliers in the ADC paradigm, rather than buff everyone else?

Ezreal only feels weak right now because hyperscaling ADCs can beat him in lane, and then use that to negate his mid game spike and keep him out. I remember "hyperscaling ADC" used to mean "Leona is literally going to solo you until level 8, when you can finally outplay her if you have your summs and she doesn't.", not "you have to wait until you've learned all your abilities to oneshot someone".

The way Riot used to at least try to balance, as in S tier gets nerfed down to A or B tier, C tier was niche counterpicks, and D tier was unusable VGU-needers, while cycling champions around A through C tiers as the meta changes and making adjustments, all the outliers get brought to the middle. I guarantee you if Riot returned to that philosophy RIGHT now, after the first wave of S Tier nerfs, Ezreal would be top dog and be in need of adjustments next.

TL;DR Ezreal's low winrate and shitty metric are indicative of a deeper-rooted problem with the balancing system, not an overall flaw with Ezreal's balance at all. Ezreal's in a good spot right now, it's other ADCs who aren't. W E AUTO Q Bilgewater applying 5 stacks of Muramana for basically landing one W is just pretty rude, too, so I'd even argue Ezreal's still a bit strong. Ezreal's fine, the game's balance isn't.

Ezreal due to his skill floor and skill ceiling is a champion who should live around 46-48% win rate.

Any higher than that and he's most likely overpowered.

Make his cast time scale with attack speed

Sure, force a player to aim their skillshots differently based on champion lvl, items and even passive stacks, what could go wrong?

The idea of his passive is to allow him to build straight AD for spell damage and still be able to DPS at acceptable ADC level, but he has to sacrifice some range for that.

Lowering his cast times would make him way harder to catch up and if you decrease his Q cast time, then his opponents have a lot less time to react to it. While I think he could use some improvements, lowering his cast time doesn't seem to be a healthy way to do that.

I like your ideas, however, if Q's cast time scaled with AS, his passive would already provide that and his kit would potentially already be fixed.

My thought, however is that the emphasis should be moved to the spell slinging and that his passive should be changed into something that reflected that, something like scaling on-hit bonus damage.

Trust me you do not want 0 cast time ezreal lol. Instant E instant Q near instant R My god lol.

A few nerf reverts and ezreal will be fine, give back his ap ratio on Q and remove the silly nerf to his lvl 1 E and he will be good again. The E nerf is what is killing him the most.

Id lock iceborn to meele only (this is for ezreal AND gp) because that shit is abused way too much, but in return for ezreal atleast, could give him a slow if he pops his w on a target.
