Please don't Rework Diana!

Hi everyone! I just decided to do this post because i read some posts that said that a Diana Rework is confirmed. Even though i haven't seen that in Riot's Rework Schedule, I decided it was a fair warning that this could happen.

I am a Diana main, and I just think that Diana is one of the more balanced champions in legue and has a pretty balanced and versatile skill set, with a non-linear poking skillshot, a barrier that needs to be triggered to improve, a "nope" kind of leash with her E and the most iconic ability, he R, that actually lets a melee assassin like her dash to enemies, and also can be used as an escape tool. Unlike many other assassins, Diana hasn't an easy laning phase, with low mana and melee AA range, and has to play smart to actually scale good. But she has a spot in game, when played well, that lets her assassinate squishies mid-game and still not be 100% effective at this, with her ult needding a Q-priming to reset and her mana pool not being very large. And that is balanced. She can delete enemies but can also fail to do it, if not played well.

I lack all the knowledge of more experienced Diana mains, but i just wanted to do something before it's too late for a champion that I and thousands of others love.

I hope you all put your fundamented opinions here, so that we can bring our opinions to Riot.

You said the issue. She is not intended to be a melee assassin. She was released with the intention of being an AP bruiser. The fact that people think of her as an Assassin is an issue that should be addressed. If she's going to be an assassin, she shouldn't have a shield at all and should instead have some way of getting out after she goes in, which is the staple difference between an assassin and a bruiser or diver; the ability to go back out after they engage. If she's going to continue to be a bruiser then they need to give her more survival tools outside of a wimpy shield, especially since AP itemization does not support a bruiser playstyle nearly as well as AD does.

As someone who likes Diana a lot as well, she needs a rework or something in order to better define her identity in this game.

the problem with her is that she is a diver but is played as a one shot assassin.

She needs to be reworked into one of those roles

diana suffers from the reason old akali was reworked. you can snowball to infinity, and the mechanics become easier to preform as you scale(to bronze 5 level). she's currently the best 1v5 character in the game, and actually for a couple seasons now.

I'm 9/10 sure the diana rework will be as successful as akali, so I would hang tight on critism, you will probably profit more than 'akali' mains did if you're good at diana at all.

I feel the exact opposite; Diana is not really that great at the moment, in part because the itemization in the game doesn't support the kind of playstyle(an AP bruiser) they want her to have. Despite popular belief, her kit is more oriented toward a bruiser than an Assassin

Diana's rework isn't confirmed. It's on their radar, but not locked in, confirmed, or anything of the sort. It was one of those "Yeah, one day we'll dual rework Diana and Leona," as part of a response, but it wasn't " DIANA IS ON OUR SCHEDULE FOR APRIL OF 2021. WE WILL OVERHAUL HER Q, E, AND R!" Don't cry about the sky falling when it was just a passing response that yes, it will happen one day, but they also said there's a shit ton more VGUs that needed to happen before they even looked cross eyed at Diana and Leona.

Since she is getting the same level of VGUas Kayle, that means her core play might as well stay? I mean, Kayle is keeping her E and hylerscaling in some sort, so maybe Diana will keep her diving and have a new kit around it? Like Nunu also did around his ultimate?
