Is Twisted Fate in the meta?

I'm relatively new to League of Legends but am trying to learn how to follow the meta in League of Legends. I've noticed the Twisted Fate is being played much more often than usual. Did he receive a buff, or did items get buffed that helps TF, or am I completely wrong? Thanks.

I would not worry much about the "meta picks" unless you go to the far end of the viable spectrum(like Poppy), but then again your leveling up your account so it shouldn't have much impact aslong as your comfortable on that champion.

The best thing to do and to avoid drama is just play the appropriate champion in an appropriate role. Like TF mid lane rather than TF jungle.

As far as I know, he is used in a few comps in the LCS or seen him there a few times, but no direct buffs as I recall.

He's not buffed or nerfed that often. He's always viable in LCS, but in soloqueue I would highly not recommend picking twisted fate unless you truly are dedicated to mastering him. He has a very weak early game and laning phase, and until late game he has only one ability-his ult. It gives him insane map presence and a really good twisted fate will be able to use this every time it's up to secure kills and feed his team, until late game where he can pop people with W Q.

At level 17, I would not worry about meta however. Play what you enjoy playing, never play a champ because they're "OP". That extends to everyone too, not just people new to the game.

the meta changes as time goes on. some people like TF cause he may counter a FOTM champion or just a good pick. Not sure, he hasnt got any buffs/nerfs recently and no item was changed that i know of recently.

Number one thing to understand about this game. No matter how good a champion is, or how " in the meta " something is, if you are not good with the champion, or how they are commonly built, there is no point in playing them. I would encourage you to pick up champions that you LIKE, and play them as much as you can. You can be completely out of the meta with your pick but if you know what you are doing, the meta can go stick its hand in a blender.

Listen to this guy. The meta changes all the time. Play champions you like and get good with them and you will be fine.
