TheFloatingFox··3 votes·1,387 views

i just got 6300 + IP all the discussions regarding which player to be the better assassin/fighter, is of last year or so. I'm more or less a newbie so please if anyone could please tell me which is better, that'd be great. Plus, if there's any other OP Melee champion, like master yi, please mention. Thank you.

As for being OP, non of them are OP. In terms of power I would say it goes like Talon >Yasuo > Zed . All three are pretty medicore compared to other midlaners, in terms of skill required, I would say Zed / Yasuo > Talon .

I main all 3 of them for years now, you should just play them all 3 and see what you like, but if I had to recommend 1 for now, I would recommend Talon .

You can check out my channel for plays related to these 3 champs aswell:

yas is a lot harder than zed

zed isn't hard at all as long as you are okay with skillshots

Nope.

I'm a former zed main and picking him up was a lot easier than me trying to pick up Yasuo right now.

I don't take silver elo feedback serious, I don't care what you experienced, I will stand by my own diamond experience.

The fact that I am silver means I am not as mechanically skilled. A player without good mechanics being able to do well with Zed while struggling to learn Yasuo in the same time frame means that Yasuo takes more practice.

Mechanics have nothing to do with why you are silver, mechanics start to play a role in diamond. Before that it is just basic game knowledge and decision making. If you main Zed, you main a certain playstyle and whenever you take a similar champ to Zed, you enforce that playstyle, which makes it seem that the new champion is harder to learn. I had the same problem with Talon and Yasuo, I tried to play them like Zed for a while, then when I played them based on their own strengths and weaknesses it got better.

Each has his own unique playstyle, i like them all. Here's my scale, you can take it under consideration:

Fun: Yasuo > Zed > Talon . I like my fun with some challenge =]

Competitive: Zed > Yasuo > Talon . Zed has a safer potential to delete a carry, that's valuable. Yasuo is just great overall, but also high risk. Talon is good if you're doing fine, might fall off extra if you're behind.

Comfort: Talon > Zed > Yasuo . Not saying this is an easy scale, it's just how comfortable I am playing them.

I don't personally think any of them are better than the other... as for skill level, still, matter of opinion. Indominus Blade says the skill level is probably Zed or Yasuo the hardest then Talon, but personally in my opinion I think its the other way around, but still the two being at around the same skill level.

But as a start on one, I think you should go either Talon or Yasuo.

I put Talon the third in terms of skill needed because dealing damage with Talon is the easiest. There are games where I miss Razor Shuriken or Steel Tempest and miss a kill and potential snowball, but I rarely miss my Rake. Talon in general has great secure damage with the AoE and targetted E + Q.

True... but another factor is that Talon has mana costs, and though they are pretty low he can run out, unlike Yasuo and Zed who can basically spam it in lane until they get a hit. But yeah, Talon is really good in terms of team fighting. His huge AOE is just awesome to use, just blows up a fight and puts it way in your favor.

Yes, I recall more often with Talon than the others, especially because I start with item 1036 and not item 2041 . But with decent mana management Talons mana costs are still decent, would like it if he got a buff to reduce his mana costs slightly or increase his mana regen slightly.

Yasuo, he isn't dead weight when behind.

imo talon is by far the best choice

he's mechanically simple so you don't have to do crazy combos and position like yasuo, and he also lacks a reliable escape once he commits

so it'll teach you how to play safe properly and know when to go aggressive, whereas with zed you don't have to know a whole lot because it's very easy to escape getting punished for a mistake
