No chat box for ranked

I've been playing rank League for a number of years now and usually sit between silver and gold. I have a suggestion to remove the chat function (not voice) from ranked games in the lower levels (maybe gold & lower). In my experience it is very very rare I see anything positive or helpful being said in the chat. in almost every game the chat will only be used to trash talk, hate on or abuse another player.

I just thought why not remove this method of communication all together? there would still be pings to communicate basic tactics & voice chat for people in a party.

I enjoy this game however the community is the worst I've ever seen and I wish Riot would take some extreme steps to try and eliminate the toxicity.

Just an idea.

Chat is disabled by default when you make a new account and it's a feature you have to toggle On.

Not that I agree with even that.

there's an option to disable both ally and all chat. I keep that box checked at pretty much all times. there is literally no reason to expose yourself to the torrent of mindless hatred and abuse that gets directed at you from 95% of the rabid league of legends "Community" and that's the same reason I'll never join a random's discord server. Why the hell should I hear all of that in voice. It's one thing if you're being abused for actual mistakes you make- Still sucks, but it's whatever. The thing is, you can play close to perfection and if you miss even one skillshot you get people threatening to kill your mom. Just ridiculous.
