A quick thought on Auto-fill if you would permit Riot.

Okay so I'm going to start off by saying "Oh my effin god there were so many threads on this!" Now that I have that out of my system I would like give my thoughts on this as all I ever saw was take it down we don't want it throw it away ect. My thought is thus. I understand the reason for the auto-fill feature as many players used to complain about the que times and the auto-fill feature cuts back on that by automatically assigning someone to a role in order to make their que time as well as the que time for 4 other players much shorter. All of this is fine and well. My issue comes from the fact that in some cases auto-fill leaves a player in the spot where they are forced to play something they know they are not good at and desperately do not want to play. the options are either suck it up and play where you will most definitely be flamed at for how much of a trash player you are and how you should uninstall and die. The second option though better than the first is still bad because dodging the que will stiff you with penalty timers and force you to either one stop playing or two stare at your screen for 5 minutes wondering why you are being punished for something out of your control. I don't know if a Riot employee will see this or not but I just wanted to point out these things people face and give a calm rational suggestion that could possibly work. Now as an example of the suggestion I am proposing. I play 4 roles. Bot lane adc is my main roll followed by mid lane. I can do top lane and support with enough skill to normally hold my own until lane phase is done unless the other laner is just that oppressively better at their role than I am. My one HUGE glaring weakness in this game is jungle. I know the pathing and the meta. I know the tips and tricks. I just seem to fail at it. I acknowledge this and accept that I will never be a top tier jungler or even a mid tier if we are being honest. I can only hold my own with one character because he is good enough to make up for my lacking unless the other jungler is aggressive. then I am boned because I suck. That was a little story to say that I have never been auto filled to support or to top lane. I have been auto filled to bot lane once when I qued mid/top. That made me laugh but I was happy to be auto filled into my main roll cause that meant nobody else was likely to be an auto fill dumpster fire waiting to happen. My suggestion is simple though I do not know how simple the execution of it would be. I would be fine personally with the Auto-fill feature if you were able to select just one role that you NEVER want to be. that way its still going to give you the option to be auto-filled just not to a position that almost guarentees you will lose the game. I know this will not solve everyone's disputes about the auto-fill feature however I know that to the part of the player base that is in my same boat. We would all greatly welcome just that one small concession. Because it really sucks to feel punished for playing a game you want to play.
