Why is it that when you win a game you only get 11-13 LP points but when you lose you lose 20 + points???

Raka Flaka MD1 votesIt means your in a higher rank then your elo is at. For example say your in s5 and your elo is gold 3, then you will get a lot more points per win.

Weathered1 votesIf you are on a lose streak, your MMR (representation of your skill level at the time) lowers. If your MMR is lower than Riots average for the rank you are, you will start to lose more LP per loss. Same with wins. A win streak will cause you to have a higher MMR, gain more LP, and climb faster to the rank that you should be in.
PiVoRx1 votesBullshit, LP gain ratio in Diamond has nothing to do with MMR. Yes you will lose more if you in a lose streak, but no matter how huge your win streak is you always lose more than earn.

PiVoRx1 votesBut losing twice as much as you earn issnt a bit extreme? I recently drop directly from d3 promo to d4 0lp after 4 loses (2 in promos, 2 right after), and low diamond isnt free from afkers, feeders and trolls as some poelple think.
