Thresh Relic Shield Procs

The fact that I need to make a post about this, after its been so broken for so long is honestly embarrassing for you as developers.

Why is it so much harder for thresh to proc his support item relic shield procs than literally any other class? Do you actually enjoy trolling your bot lane as he goes for cannon minions and and gets nothing for both adc and support because the relic shield doesn't proc? It honestly feels like you riot are intentionally trolling the LoL Community by not fixing this clear broken item for thresh....

You know how Thresh is a ranged champion?

The execute on Relic Shield is melee-only.

Care to hazard a guess as to what those two facts mean when taken together?

Thresh counts as a ranged attacker, so he can't proct the execute on it. At the same time Thresh can last-hit minions easier than any other support because of his E giving him a damage bump.

Does it need to be Ranged? are there many other ranged champions that use this item?
