Is There any possibility we play prereworked champs ever again

I miss old Mordekaiser so much. He was main reason I played this game almost every day. I really get it nostalgic but life goes on, I guess there are many other players who prefer prereworked Aatrox, Akali, Urgot, Irelia etc.

Once a year, Riot can give us a mode where we can play only complete reworked champions (so we can't choose 17 different Ryzes) in their earlier forms once again like they did in "Nexus Blitz" with removed items. Consider so, I guess many old players will appreciate the stuff.

A personal recoard for me is winning a 3 v 5 game due to how op that R was. ADC and Top rage quit. Got lucky our Support was a tank and mid was CC burst. That and the enemy team was stupid as hell when it came to OBJ pressure and their jungle was shit at smiting things.

still... all said and done that's a game I remember from season 2.

Old poppy ult was similar to legion commanders ult from dota 2.

Legion Commander and the target enemy hero are forced to attack each other for a short duration. Neither hero can use items nor abilities. If either hero dies during the duration, the hero winning the Duel gains permanent bonus damage.

Just Poppy's ult had more counterplay.

Id be pretty interested in a PvB event that pits relaunched champions against players. Could be riots excuse to give us the old voiceovers and traditional skins, which they stopped doing for sion even though it was proven that it would take maybe a day of dedicated time to do it.

No, because they are permanently deleted and save files of their old kits deleted.

There is NO possible way of old champions returning unless they reprogram and rebuild old kits into newer champions.

Any company larger than a small office will tell you this is never the case and nothing should ever be deleted permanently except in specific cases. Riot should have a backup of literally every single regular patch of league of legends, and even if they dont, the internet does despite their best efforts to quash any such things from existing.

They ARE deleted, they DON'T keep copies of files, and even when they bring old kits back, it's not identical, it's built in from scratch only to look similar to the original.

There is NO possible reason for them to keep old champion files if they have been updated with new ones. Same goes for games that shutdown, if League were to ever shutdown the whole project would die as well, and there would prolly small portions saved that can be portable for other future projects and that's just that.

TL DR: Your "old" champions are gone, move on.

Even if they literally dont have it, as i said (which you somehow missed) the internet DOES and all it takes is a little searching. How do you think something like league of memories existed? Do you think they just remade league of legends from scratch?

This thread isnt demanding riot revert them - its asking if theres any possibility to play them in the modern game. The possibility is there; Riot could easily do an event in that theme. well, that's what any sane beeing would expect. However, i wouldn't even be that supprised if riot actually delete their old files...I honestly don't have much trust in the company after the last few years.

From my understanding, Rito used to delete stuff a very long time ago. Especially when somebody ceased to be employed at their company, they would wipe away any trace of them & their work at Rito.

That backwards philosophy caused a crap ton of headaches for everyone at Rito: gameplay designers, story writers, everyone. I guarantee you everything is backed up now. Anything that's missing (from the old days) would be a cinch to program or has been archived on fansites like Wiki.
