Looking for help on how to improve general gameplay

So basically what's going on for me right now is that I'm stuck in a constant loop of losses, really bad ones. (1-3 wins out of every 20 games seems like the average)

I've been playing consistently for maybe 3-ish weeks now, although I'm not new to the MOBA genre as I've played DOTA/HOTS for maybe a year or two prior to getting into LoL. I started off playing with a buddy who is around the diamond area who gave me tips on what to build, champions to try, etc. After around a week and a half he let me go to play on my own to learn. I was doing pretty okay as a thresh/nautilus main support with him. I decided to start trying new champions (ADC, Mid, JG for the most part) and that basically ended up in me losing every game. I tried going back to support but this turned out to have the same issue where I lose every game (usually without my team breaking 10 kills).

I'm not sure if this is due to my ELO being higher than it should or just bad play every game. If anyone could provide some help or tips for my situation that would be great. I've tried pretty much everything to fix this. (watching pro league play, guides, custom ai matches, etc.)

Right now it seemed to be - Do all you can to help achieve First Turret Kill for your team... u'll get an instant boost of 20% increased winning chance (70%) according to the statistics. Focus on objectives - If u can help push your team to get the first Inhib kill for your team - it's an instant 90% win chance for your team.

Edit: I would think that champs with global abilities will help. Master only a couple of such champs. Jack of all trades (mastering many different champs) do not seemed to do well in this game.

Also, the time u pick to play Ranked games has more effect than u'd think. Hours where there are fewer people online skews the mmr of your games due to the available population- u'll get uneven match-made games.

This is it.

By all means don't stop trying to improve, but don't sweat it if you keep losing for a while. It'll balance out.

Playing with good players is also a great opportunity to get better at the game, so try to enjoy the games as much as you can and watch your opponents to figure out what they're doing.

Feel free to add me if you'd like to play together.

If you can't figure out what you are doing wrong in your games in order to improve then watch your replays and analyze them. Some people have a hard time learning on the fly because they get emotionally invested in the game or have to concentrate too much on what is happening immediately. If you watch your replays and every time anyone dies you rewind it back 30 seconds and pause it and think of what you could have done to prevented that, it goes a long ways. Also for your own deaths go back 30 seconds and then when you get near the point where you die watch it at .25x speed and really analyze what you could have done better. You would be surprised how many bad habits you can eliminate from this and how much you can improve your team play.
