@Riot: Problems Balancing Illaoi? Why Not Try This?
I've recently taken a liking to this champion (on another account, but still) and though I'm aware of Illaoi's poor current condition, I can understand completely given the design you were going for. This is a tough champ to get right.
I noticed the PBE changes you introduced this cycle and agree with the direction on her E (shorter duration, greater intensity), but early feedback would suggest these changes are doing more harm than good.
There is a question I had about illaoi early on that may be relevant here: why are Illaoi's tentacles restricted to one attack per vessel? I feel like it doesn't give the enemy reason to move around predictably (which I thouht was the purpose behind the ability) and with these current changes in the works there is not even a good reason to kill tentacles during the debuff.
If tentacles could attack a vessel once every x seconds (scaling with either level or ult rank), it would put pressure on the enemy to remove tentacles while being tested, even though it won't lower the duration. Thoughts?
